Man refuses to surrender to officer. Runs away, turns around with a weapon in his hand, gets shot. Immediately a flash mob of rioters hits the streets and burns down local businesses, patrol cars and other vehicles. Gas station is set on fire with employees inside. Their fate is still unknown. Local fire crews cannot reach fires because crowds are firing weapons at all outsiders. And crowds of people are laughing and chanting "black power".

Of course, instead of waiting until all the details come out before passing judgment or taking sides, the local community leaders are already talking as if the mobs are justified and as if they are somehow the ones who are victims in all this chaos and destruction that they themselves have created in their own community.

Yet I'm sure that in 6-8 months those exact same local community leaders are going to be complaining about the lack of investment in their communities.

I am still wondering what that local community leader meant when he said that we were "one day away". One day away from what? Is he threatening more violence, or is he aware of more violence in the works?
