I don't think they do. Its  just a form of opinion. As long as homophobes aren't attacking anyone, i'm fine with it. violence is gay.

My full logic is that it is a sin, but that doesn't mean that they should be attacked or hated, or not have the right to love. I'm totally chill with homosexuality. I even ship gay pairings.

Sin means wisdom in Sumerian, the bible stole it and to get people away from the real truth.

CandiProductions [2016-01-20 02:32:53 +0000 UTC]

As a Christian, I guess I'm supposed to see it as a sin since the Bible says so, but you have to take into consideration, the Bible can't be FULLY trusted! It WAS written by humans. When have our own kind been trustworthy?

Either way, unless your harming yourself or harming others, nothing is wrong with it. So homosexuality isn't bad since it doesn't cause pain and suffering. If people want to protest against something, do over serious problems like rape, kidnapping and pedophilia!! Let's get rid of what DOES cause pain!

DumuziTheMessiah In reply to CandiProductions [2016-03-09 15:48:25 +0000 UTC]

The bible uses the Sumerian word for wisdom "sin" as a word for evil! It was written by evil treasonist dictators who want anyone that can destroy their lies put to death! The bible is buthered up lies and hate trash, it was created for evil, bloodshed, sorrow, hate, war, and eventual destruction of life itself, humanity has been fooled by their lies in this chaotic world....

crazynoggin In reply to CandiProductions [2016-02-02 02:27:44 +0000 UTC]

Actually, you shouldn't see it as a sin. The bible does not talk about homosexuality, because it cant. It didnt exist then. And anyone using Leviticus is invalid, because we aren't supposed to follow the old testament laws.

PandaNotes [2015-04-07 22:02:40 +0000 UTC]

I fully support the rights of homosexuality, and feel no differently towards somebody for whoever they love. However, as far as 'sin' goes, the bible does seem to condemn homosexuality, pretty harshly. Of course if you are not a Christian then that is of no problem. And if you are a Christian and homosexual I still do not think anybody should be judged by society or anyone, but I'm just saying that unfortunately the bible is against it. Which is sad, then God has an eternity to make it up to you.

Also, I am not claiming to know what God thinks, I am simply saying what the bible has written as a point of interest.

JeffyPerseus In reply to PandaNotes [2015-06-27 17:29:43 +0000 UTC]

Actually it's not really what God thinks. The Bible has been edited my several people, editing things in and out.

Maybe the first person didn't mind homosexuality and it was not condemned in the bible but then the 2nd editor didn't agree with that and changed it. You never know.

PandaNotes In reply to JeffyPerseus [2015-06-27 18:34:32 +0000 UTC]

True enough, I did say in the comment that I didn't claim to know what God thinks, and I do not agree with the bible condemning it. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with somebody choosing to love somebody of the same sex. However, if you're a Christian the idea of the 'word of God' is such a powerful thing. I mean if you pick and chose from a holy book, then you can change anything in it, and the book become irrelevant. Please know I am not trying to be awkward sounding, I just don't think that point is entirely fitting to religion. Likewise if somebody wishes to be gay and a Christian then that is totally their choice and I wish them every bit of happiness in the world, I think the issues of homosexuality gets blown a little out of proportion sometimes as there are much bigger problems in the world to worry about.

What I find hilarious is that the Christian bible does not condemn homosexuals if you actually study it. Yet Christians misinterpret their own book.

CandiProductions In reply to Luchii-Chan [2016-01-20 02:35:56 +0000 UTC]

I actually read on a sight about this study!! Which I always found so mind blowing because people oh so agree God condemns it all because its in the Bible. Uhm hello. The Bible was written by humans! You can't possibly think they wouldn't put a few things here and there for there own good or pleasure. We do it now!

PandaNotes In reply to Luchii-Chan [2015-04-07 19:55:26 +0000 UTC]

Yes it does.....or at least every bible I have ever read it is. No offences to homosexuality at all, but in the bible it is condemned.

www.notalllikethat.org/taking-… Read this. You have to understand the time when it was written, read the whole bible, and read inbetween the lines.

PandaNotes In reply to crazynoggin [2016-02-05 21:59:27 +0000 UTC]

I think the ultimate problem, is it's an opinion, it's an opinion if God even exists, and thus what people see as sin or not will always be left to damn human beings opinions, as I've gotten a little older, I just views homosexuality as (regardless of biblical text) an individual's right to express their love irrespective of gender. I used to tangle myself with confusion the more I read the deeper that web became, but then I realised, every single piece of text, extending even to holy books is down to the interpretation of the individuals (and the common sense of human morals.)

The funny thing is, Paul condemns homosexuality but not Jesus, and Paul contradicted Jesus on many levels. Homosexuality is inborn, which means God created homosexuality.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PandaNotes In reply to Cianna200 [2015-05-12 23:02:56 +0000 UTC]

Funnily enough I have read plenty about Jesus condemning it, but that is irrelevant as the bible condemns it, which is what I said in this comment. Jesus does not condemn ever other 'wrong doing' but that doesn't make them right, people treat the bible like a menu where they can pick and chose but in my opinion that is really not the idea of religion. I have nothing personally against homosexuals and I fully support gay rights, I am just saying as far as the bible goes I don't really think the bible agrees with it.

And as for it being inborn, that is a theory/discussion that has yet to be solved, you are going down the whole nature nurture debate there.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cianna200 In reply to PandaNotes [2015-05-12 23:48:47 +0000 UTC]

I know the bible unfortunately condemns it, what I am especially focused on is what Jesus taught. The bible also condemns long hair, eating shellfish,
women speaking in church, of course this is irrelevant but it
doesn't make sense.  While I believe a lot of the bible,
I can't accept all of it as fact.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PandaNotes In reply to Cianna200 [2015-05-13 15:21:09 +0000 UTC]

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, personally I wish the bible didn't condemn it as I see absolutely no harm in homosexuality, likewise I believe it is called an abomination in the bible, pretty intense wording, though I do not profess to know God's personal views on anything, just going by what I've read. And at the end of the day everybody has personal views on the bible and Christians often go by their personal relationship with God. I just think people should not lightly wave it around as okay, acting like they know God's personal views, likewise people should be slow to condemn it so heavily, I mean there are worse issues in the world.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cianna200 In reply to PandaNotes [2015-05-13 20:18:43 +0000 UTC]

I agree with your views. As I know some words in the bible have a different meaning in Greek, the original meaning for abomination is
"ritually unclean". I do wish Christians were not so quick to jump
to judgement on nonchristian things. Yes there are worse issues, like the persecution of asexuals I am one of those.
