I'm re-doing the storyline for my BadEnd! Universe
In the drawing up above it shows how Twilight gets corrupted by Nightmare Moon. In this universe Luna doesn't come back, after Twilight and the main six defeat Nightmare Moon ,Celestia imprisoners her in Tartarus . Before she gets imprisoned, she implants a seed of darkness into Twilight, which slowly takes root in her mind. It slowly turns her into an alicorn like it did to Luna. NM visits Twilight in her dream once she's almost fully corrupted, she was still conscious but very weak and in that weak state Nm convinced her this was the only way to get stronger and figure out the magic of friendship. Twilight finally succumbed and became a corrupted version of herself, just like Luna did. Twilight Night becomes a apprentice or almost even daughter to Nightmare Moon, who( with the help of discord) unleashes all of the villain's onto Equestria and defeats both Celestia and Cadence
