Nice shading, I love the smoothnes within it. You made it very well together with the background and it gives out more of the 'grey' feeling about the picture

And the background itself is really good, I love the snow wind, you gave it a nice touch ^^

For the anatomy, in overall it's really good. I love the claws you have done, you draw so awesome paws! But the neck is too short, it makes him look shorter, that his body is squeeze together. ( hope you get what I mean ) I do love that you still keeping your original style and improves it so much. You have become much better you know

Yayz new art!

I love the fur in this! And the tear is pretty awesome too (odd thing to say, I know ). I also think its great that you've had a play around with the perspective of the front leg, however my only crit would be that something looks a bit off about it. I don't know whether the angle is off, or the leg is too long :/ I'm not sure. But kudos (lolz) to you for taking perspective into account, because it's reeeally difficult to get completely right. All it takes is practice

So overall, good job & welcome back

Dude... I think I died a little when I saw how good you've gotten! I mean, wow, look at how far you've come since 'Ashes to Ashes'! And I thought that was an amazing piece...

This is absolutely wonderful! I love the shading, the colours, the blood, the pose -- everything! The snow effect really conveys the sort of saddened mood about the picture, along with the dull colours used.

Loving the way you drew the paws, too, you've gotten so much better at them!

My only crits for this are that the cuts look a little realistic in my eyes, due to the fact that they seem quite deep but only seep a small amount of blood, along with the fact that they seem a little too big if you know what I mean? Sorry if that confuses you, I know it confused me...

Next are the front legs. Like *AlfaFilly said, they sorta look more human-like than canine-like, probably due to the fact that it sorta looks like a human's bicep area... I don't know how you could improve that, but looking at pictures of a wolf's anatomy in that same pose may help.

Finally, the hind legs. To me they look a little odd... I can't put my finger on it, but something just doesn't look right. I think it's the way that the paw sort of looks like a penguin's foot poking out from beneath it, rather than actually looking like a limb... Beats me.

But, overall, BRILLIANT (and I mean BRILLIANT) job Jade, this is utterly fantastic! Dante looks so amazing in this piece, I'm really loving everything about this, and it's so great to see you back on dA!

Oh wow this looks fantastic! Absolutely great fur effects. The details of each stroke add a nice life to the character. It really gives nice depth to the tails and the paws.

The perspective as well is very lovely. It's subtle and not too wildly out there, so it gives it a nice appealing look.

The shading and overall atmosphere as well is very fitting and make a nice addition to the piece. C:

As far as crits are concerned, the eye looks like it's not in the correct spot. Perhaps if it was a little further back and a little bit up. The shoulder area is also a bit too far forward. If it was pulled back a tad, and perhaps the excess line above the elbow was removed it would be fixed. The extra line makes it look like the arm is more human-like as opposed to canine-like. Or maybe that's just me Along with the perspective, if the head in general were a tiny bit smaller and maybe were turned upward a tad it would reflect more of the angle. These are more for future reference, not necessarily for you to go back and fix, though.

Alright, alright, you know the drill! xD You put up a pic, it's my JOB to critique it. xD I miss doing this.

First of all, this looks a bit disturbing with it being so dark and all. Not sure if that was meant to be an effect or not, but I think there should be a bit more eye-white and less pupil. Also, the form of the shoulder looks a bit off in comparison with the rest of the arm that's facing the camera. I would suggest bringing down the point where the arm line and the shoulder line meet, soit's closer to the chest. If that makes sense. xD And the body, along the stmach, lacks form and dimension. Maybe take a crack at showing a bit more form with the ribcage and skeletal structure? Make it show through more, you know? Also, something actually easily added that could REALLY help is add a bit of ALMOST-white shine to the claws. Even in the fog, light's gotta come from somewhere, and the claws are bound to reflect at least part of that. A line of lighter color down the middle of the claw could really compliment the shading. And the new trick with layering to the tail looks a bit off. Maybe try and flow the layers together a bit more? And the 'strings' of snow look a bit odd; maybe broaden the lines more so they cover a wider range? That might make them blend a bit better and compliment the background a little more. And don't be afraid to try and add more detail to the foreground of the background. It could really pay off.

Kay. Job done. Now, if you'll allow... THIS IS AMAZING. xDD I LOVE the perspective with the claws and paw in the foreground, but the other paw much smaller and all. It is !!! And the shading on the tail is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! It looks almost like a painting. The fur on the paws is equally brilliant. The shading, as usual with you, is PERFECT. Put together, this whole thing makes Dante look HAWT.
