Yay, Ilia! It's funny, I can't tell if she's taking her opponent seriously or if she's just mildly annoyed. Either way, I hope she'll have a reason to smile soon. Ilia has an adorable smile.
Now that Adam is gone, the White Fang is probably a mess. I trust that a lot of them will have enough sense to abandon their old leader's methods, but who knows how many will rather leave or choose to rebel against Ghira's leadership? I think Ilia will be a huge help in convincing some of those individuals to give peace another try. I believe she believes it herself now.
It remains to be seen if we'll get to see much of her or the White Fang any time soon, though. I love RWBY, but doing multiple storylines at the same time is not something the show does very well. Besides, I kinda doubt there's any significant White Fang activity in Atlas, so maybe it would be best to focus on the main plot for now. Your thoughts?

Weiss mentions in vol 1 that the White Fang was at war with her family. I imagine they're a bit more battle hardened, a bit more underground. Though I'm not sure we'll see an out and out story arc with them, I could see them being a part of the story.

There is no White Fang anymore. It has no future. For something like what you're hinting with this artwork to happen, Ilia has to literally restart the White Fang from zero.

No, Adam is gone. An organization as big and with as many fanatics as the White Fang doesn't just disappear because they lost twenty people in one skirmish.
The Future of the White Fang could also be an end, and what comes after. The Faunus Militia could be the future of the White Fang, especially since it comes from some of the founders of the White Fang and uses their old imagery from more peaceful times.
It could just mean Ilia hunting down splinter groups.

Now I want a spin-off with a group of assassins, led by Ilia, hunting down fanatics similar to Adam and giving them a choice: Join them and abandon their violent ways, or die.
I also really wanted to see Ilia fight Adam and totally kick his butt.

It's weird, but I both want her to be a kick ass field leader and to not have to fight anymore. She deserves a rest, but I want to see more of her.

Maybe she becomes some sort of trauma consultant or something.
Also, in a secret fanfiction I´ve been secretly working on, in which I mix RWBY with the Inheritance Cycle books, she becomes a dragon rider. Bonuses include:
- A fire-breathing death lizard the size of a Giant Nevermore as best pal.
- Kick-ass magic.
- Immortality (well, she can still die from a weapon or illness, but age isn´t a problem anymore).
- Super-human strength, speed, durability and senses.
During that attack on Vale, Ilia confronts Adam, totally kicks his ass and has him swear in the ancient language that he won´t harm Blake or her friends.
She made it very clear that she could kill him, and even figured out his true name, so she could just make him commit suicide if she wanted to.
She also tells Blake her own true name, so that Blake can call Ilia for help whenever she needs.
Also, Maria became a rider a couple days after she lost her eyes, which had been restored at that point btw, and she told Summer and Ruby how to use their silver eyes after saving Summer´s live.
She also cautioned Ruby and warned her about people out to harm her, and Ruby now thinks Ozpin is working against them. It´s funny, because every time he bends the rules to help Ruby, something comes up and Ruby thinks it was another one of Ozpin´s plans to have her have a fatal accident and be rid of her for good.
Little funny side fact: Due to her being a rider, Maria´s grandchildren in that crossover are older than she looks.
If you want, I can give you some details on Ilia´s rider outfit and her dragon, so you can draw them, maybe.
Or maybe not, it´s your choice.
It´d be cool though, having Ilia pose next to a literal dragon and just, I mean, just imagine that for a moment.

If you watch his appearance at the start of volume 6, it looked like the White Fang was collapsing before Adam even went after Blake, which is why he went after her alone to begin with.

We will definitely see her again in a future season. Ilia has done some character development, and a familiar face is always easier to bring back. I see in your composition you are working on Ilia's tendency to look in act in long curves and curls.

I gave her some special treatment in my fanfiction, which mostly consisted of special training and genetic alterations, and since I have a couple more plans for Mistral, I will keep giving her some attention every now and again.
