Oh yeah, they were pretty fun. They were little toy balls with thin rubbery "hairs" sticking out all over. They looked kind of like sea urchins, but soft instead of sharp and prickly. There's a picture here: [link] I liked to pretend they were little animals sometimes, so maybe that's why the baby meerkat made me think of them. I haven't heard about them in ages, though, so I guess they're not made anymore.
