Another shot from Cairngorm - we were on our way back down for a well-earned collapse into a heap, when some reindeer appeared!
They must be quite used to humans, but I was surprised this female came so close to me, as she had quite a young calf with her at the time.

Wow, I can't believe how close this is! You can see so much detail! This is a lovely shot; I like the contrast between the white/gray fur and the brown grass. Hm, I didn't even realize they had reindeer in Scotland.

The herd on Cairngorm is the only wild herd in the UK, that might be why...
