Description With all the Steampunk guns I've done, and with all the Steampunk'd Mavericks around these days, I had never done a Maverick until now. I mean I had a Maverick laying around for the past few years, but just never wanted to Steampunk it before. I guess I just wanted to be different that everyone else. Well I finally did one, and it will be for sale at my vendor booth at the Steampunk Empire Symposium [link] in Cincinnati at the end of April.

As with many of my Steampunk projects, metal finishes achieved using Rub n Buff, in Antique Gold and Silver Flake colors. It has two clear coat layers. A brush on layer of AMACO all purpose sealer, then a spray on Krylon Satin Finish.

In addition to the paint job and the obvious new flash hider on the barrel, this Maverick also has the cylinder mod.

Awesome work... the Maverick shape looks much more mean and intimidating with the suppressor.

The meaning Ubiquitous in the title. It's clever.

Ahh..well thank you then. I use that word often, probably a side effect of being an old school goth and having heard the song "Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove" so many times.

That's one of the nicer 'punks' on this gun I've seen.

I wonder now if I'm going to start seeing that lid everywhere

I shall respect your creativity and hold off using it. It does look nice though!

Hah, I was just kidding. If you want to try using it, I have no problem with it. You can be sure when I start working on Anime style guns soon, I'll be referencing your work.

If that is what I think it is, GREAT use of a Tropicana bottle lid. Looks downright natural.

Hah.. yes you are correct, a Tropicana singe serving juice bottle lid. Which apparantly are hard to find. I was just trying to find a photo online of the particular size and style of packaging I got the lid from, and couldn't find one. They sell them at a local deli though, which is where I get them. The lids make for great goggle lens covers too.

I only even knew what it was since I have one myself that I've been trying to find a use for for half a year now.

Well if you have the single serving size cap, you can drill a hole in the middle, then use an xacto knife to carve out the middle, all the way to the inside edge of the threads, and it should fit perfectly over the beveled edge of the stock maverick barrel.
