Contest Entry for * MikoYami （　´∀｀）

For those of you who have never heard of the Japanese folklore- The Moon Princess (in my old, American, subtle translation and book, this is how it is put plainly) is the daughter of the moon who was cast down to live on Earth for a certain time period (presumably as long as a moral human would have gone) and was the treasure of an elderly couple who took her in as their own daughter. (Short conclusion is short).

It's stated much better in my book, so I'm sorry. It was always a favorite of mine, in midst of the Little Mermaid, Rapunzel, and Cinderella (though mine also includes some details of other countries versions- my favorite was what they said was the Italian version- how she does not turn back into rags, rather transforms into a snake when the first ray of sun settles on her!) I always found this one much more interesting- I suppose I even loved Japanese folklore back then as a child. (*´・ｖ・) Onward then, yes?
