--STRAIGHT FROM THE SCRIPT--[

For a moment, it looks as though Flash has won. But a moment later, Gorger emerges from the cloud of dust and debris, still chatty as hell. We hear his voice before we actually see him.

Gorger
"Even now, you seek to rule over these ants, to misuse and squander the power that has been given to you. YOU. ARE. WASTING. IT. Why not give it to me?"

He twirls his knife into his other hand, gripping it tight.

Gorger
"Now for a while, I’ve been content to watch you work. I gotta hand it to ya kid, you certainly know how to destroy lives."

CUT TO NAMELESS LOCATION

FOREGROUND- HEAD, NECK, AND ARM OF CHARRED SKELETON, background, weeping maiden on her knees, hands over mouth, tears stain her cheeks.

Even farther in the background, we see the blurred form of Flash striding away

Gorger V.O.
"Be it knowing how to make little girls cry…"

CUT TO BURNING ORPHANAGE

Flash is silhouetted against the roaring flames of the building

Gorger V.O.
"or taking petty revenge without any regards to how many people died…"

Cut back to Gorger

Gorger
"You were doing well."

Flash's face is tear stained, some of this is getting to him

Flash
"Sh-shut up!"

He closes his eyes and assumes an intense focus, clenching his fists. Then strikes with blinding speed while screaming.

His fiery fist catches Gorger in the chest and there is a flash of light. When our collective vision clears, we see Gorger spread eagled flat on his back with a circular scorch mark on his chest. His face, and particularly his eyes, are in shadow.

Flash wipes his nose and cheeks with his sleeve. His teeth are still clenched. Flash turns around to see if he can manage to melt some of the black ice. But is stopped by a very disturbing sound. He turns to see Gorger being pulled bonelessly to his feet like a puppet, dragged by his chest, until he is fully upright. He chuckles.

Gorger
"Yes, dear boy, that would have stopped my heart. If in fact, I was a regular opponent. Very good. Unfortunately, the fatal flaw in your plan is that I do not have a heart."

He grins that shark grin and then launches himself forward with a noise like a whip cracking. He catches Flash on the shoulders and begins his combination attack.

From a slowly rotating third-person angle, we see Gorger swing Flash by his shoulders in an arc over his head, slam him into the ground, switch positions, do the same thing again but this time in the opposite direction, and then switch back, begin to swing him, but land him on his feet, dazedly.
