Been going through some old pics and editing ones that i'd never think to touch...Categorised this as photo manip... I took the tree from another pic of mine and used this [link] for the birds

That processing is spot on. Great work here and thanks for the manip note....very important. What kind of b/w conversion did you do for the grass? blue filter w/ tweaks?

Yep i made WB 2000K(so really cool/blue) which seemed to really bring out the highlights but darken the midtones, also added a dull yellow to the highlights

At first I didn't even notice that it was a manip xD.
But I realy like it. It just looks so dramatic, but somehow it looks peacefull too.
I dunno, it just looks like there's no other road then to go to that tree and who knows what you'll find there.

I think this might have more of an impact if it was cropped square. The vignette is pretty heavy anyway.

The simplicity of the manipulation helps it seem very real. The grass up front looks really nice too.
