Description
With time passing by, Towa managed to keep her head held high. She kept Danny's whereabouts from Dark, her Demon Goddess Form would return soon, and Ginyu has infiltrated the enemies. The demoness had some time to herself to think on what to do, but then a thought hit her. "Huh... Maybe it's time to spread some distrust, since Ginyu is with Cai's group now. Have everyone possibly turn on each other, it would fracture the team they have formed." Minutes passed, and Towa opened the door leading to the imprisoned Idris, still in Ginyu's body.
Idris opened her eyes from a sullen strop. ''What the heck do you want?'' She then proceeded to swear at Towa in some foreign language.
Towa waved her hand, which caused the field around Idris to disappear. She then approached the witch, smirking. "Well, I had an idea recently. And well, I need you for it."
''Ohhhh! Is it like when you have only 50% of an idea, and you need someone else to add the other 50%? Like a verbal jigsaw puzzle? That happens to me too!''
Clearly spending so much time alone was making Idris become slightly loonier.
"Ugh..." Now in front of Idris, Towa placed duct tape over her mouth. "May not be flashy, but I rather not waste my power to shut your trap."
''Mph! Hmph!!'' Idris frowned.
"Now... let's get on with this." Towa's staff was flashing red, then it started to surge with energy. Using an old magical trick from Babidi, the now dead alien wizard that freed Majin Buu, she began to broadcast herself into the minds of her enemies. Oh, and of course, Ginyu's mind as well, if he wasn't dead or found out already.
Cai was in the middle of light training as ordered by Ginyu. Until she felt a presence. ''Towa...?'' The same happened throughout the house, as the girls each stopped what they were doing after sensing Towa.
''Oh this can't be good...'' Kaila sighed.
"I see that blue woman again, and she's making my head hurt. Well... more than usually nowadays..." Susana held her head, feeling some pain as Towa broadcasted herself.
Soara's look changed to that of an annoyed one. "What is that bitch doing now?"
Just then, the image of Towa and a tied up and silenced Ginyu appeared in their heads. "Why hello there, I'm only just broadcasting this through your mind just to tell you something. Recently, I have found out that Ginyu betrayed me. So I figured, why not rat him out?"
Cai had already been hit by Ginyu, and so wasn't surprised. She was feeling sad at the sight of Idris, especially after her incredible feat of heroism. But it seemingly had affected the group for the worse. ''But... why is Towa ratting Ginyu out? He's perfectly infiltrating us by his own...?'' She couldn't make sense of it.
Meanwhile Kaila was confused. ''Huh... a betrayal?''
Astral however had clicked on a little faster at the sight of Ginyu's body tied up. ''Shit...''
"I'll just get straight to the point, Ginyu has swapped with someone from your group when you infiltrated my base. As with who? Well, I rather not say, I still hate you after all and he might actually succeed in killing one of you." Towa then turned to Ginyu's body, with Idris' soul inside it. "As for your friend here... I have my own plans for." The demoness then slashed the sharp end of her staff across the witch's shoulder, making her point.
''HMPH-!'' Idris cried out, trying to break free from the bounds as purple blood poured out from the injury.
'Oh no, Idris!' Cai thought, unable to break her cover as per Ginyu's orders.
''Damn it!'' Astral punched the wall in frustration.
The demoness smirked with glee, causing pain to one of her enemies. "Well, that was all. I don't care what you do with Ginyu afterwards if you beat him, it wasn't like he was much useful to me anyway." The broadcast stopped, the image of Towa now gone from their heads. All, except for one.
Before Towa's broadcast, Ginyu, as Idris, was reading and studying some spells he could make use of. But after the demoness ended what she had to say to the heroes, she talked to Ginyu. "Ginyu, I have cut off from the others so now I'm just talking to you, meaning they can't hear me. If you're still undercover, find a way to cause mistrust while keeping your current identity. And if you've been caught... well, that's on you." This time, Towa ended her transmission.
Thinking of what he heard, the captain thought that Towa turned on him before the part she said last. Now knowing what to do, Ginyu smiled. "Well, causing mistrust won't be that hard with 2 slaves I can control. Hehehe..."
Back downstairs, Astral slammed her fist onto the main table. ''Damn them! I thought we won!''
Kaila wanted to try and calm her down, but deep down she didn't feel calm herself. She felt... vulnerable, an enemy was among them but they didn't know who. So Kaila just stayed back, folding her arms trying to make a plan.
"Okay okay okay, let's stop and think for a moment." Susana said, trying to get Astral to at least be less angry.
''He's in this house! He's in one of our bodies!'' Astral slammed another fist, paranoid.
''Susana's right...'' Kaila added in, but was busy giving everyone a second look as to eye for uncharacteristic behavior. The problem was she didn't know any of these people well enough, apart from Cai.
Soara looked at Astral, now suspicious. "You could be him. Ginyu did have Astral's body before and like it, so he might have switched with Astral again. Hell, all of you can think that I am Ginyu!"
"STOP! I SAID FOR YOU ALL TO STOP!" Shouting, Susana caught everyone's attention. "Look, me and Kaila aren't Ginyu. We never even went to their base, we stayed here while you were there."
''That's right... She was with me the whole time.'' Kaila felt a sense of slight clarity and nodded at Susana, feeling immediate warmth towards her in a feeling of mutual trust. Kaila then placed her hand on Astral's shoulder to calm her. ''Look, okay let's not accuse anyone of anything here... Let's just be rational in getting to the bottom of this. Even in one of our bodies, he's no match against all of us as a team. So we can't let him fracture us by fighting each other.''
Astral felt like she was balancing on a finely thin fence, between rage and rational. Kaila's hand pat did give help ease her somewhat. ''Fine...''
"That would leave Soara, Sabini, Idris, Cai, and Astral. I just hope we find him before he does something drastic, whichever the body. Just... be on your guard, all of you." Susana left the group, making her way to get some water.
Soara only starred at Astral, highly thinking that Ginyu would go back to being in her body again. Though, there was no current evidence to think that. "She's right, we need to stay on our toes."
Sensing the negative stare, Astral met Soara with a frown. ''Damn right.''
"Hmm..." Kaila also spotted the divide between the two, wanting to break it up before it could escalate. But she honestly didn't know to think at the moment, she needed a plan.
Meanwhile Cai walked in the house, wiping tears off of her cheeks as she brushed past Kaila to go upstairs. ''Leave me alone.'' She stomped up the stairs before Kaila could talk to the only person she could trust.
Coming out from Cai's room, 'Idris' had a plan to get to doing. She was gonna walk downstairs with her spell book in hand, until Cai approached. "Cai? What's wrong? Tell it to me and only me, no one else. Don't shout it either, just whisper it."
She wanted to punch 'Idris' square in the face. ''I'm... I'm just sad for Idris.'' Cai looked down. ''Now all my family and friends are fighting each other and I want to stop it by revealing you.''
"Well, I order you to not do that. Go on and do what you were gonna before you talked to me just now." Ginyu walked past Cai, not caring about her wellbeing like Idris would. Cai grinded her teeth at her like a wolf before the order set in, then she jumped onto her bed and buried her face in her pillow.
Meanwhile Kaila was downstairs actually starting to plan. ''Okay, so me and Susana are safe. How do we go about proving we're all ourselves?'' Kaila asked around the group.
"A definitive way to prove we're not Ginyu? That's... actually hard to think of ." Soara said, being stuck as to how she can prove she's not Ginyu.
"... Anyone else have any thoughts?" Susana ask, sipping from a cup of water.
At that moment, Ginyu himself saw everyone in the same room. "Let me guess, trying to figure out who's Ginyu?"
"Yep, and so far we don't have any clues. But Kaila and I are ourselves, we stayed with each other in the house." The teacher looked at Idris, but it's still possible that one of her students could be Ginyu in disguise.
''I'll talk with Cai in a moment, I'll be able to rule her out as an option easily.'' Kaila sighed, at least it would be another tick off the list. She looked at Idris, who seemed confident. ''You got some sort of plan up your sleeve Idris?''
"Well, there was a soul detection spell I could use. But... I used up most of my mana when practicing some spells with Cai's sis, and I don't have enough for that one. Sorry everyone..." 'Idris' put on an upset face, having no way to help. Though, what was the point? Ginyu was trying to stay hidden, acting as Idris.
''That's true, I was there...'' Kaila wanted to tick her off the list due to the magic. However, the truth was 'Idris' had made her very uncomfortable before when she used the Soul Hold spell. 'But Ginyu wouldn't be able to use magic like that..' Kaila knew that had to be true, but she still had a negative vibe from the previous encounter with her. She eyed 'Idris' for a moment before looking back at the ground.
Meanwhile Sabini had been quietly observing the entire conversation, until Astral suddenly shot him a glare. ''You've been quiet...'' She stared at him like a predator.
Raising his arm as for permission to speak. ''Yup, I do that. Idris can vouch for me, I helped her how to remember how to do spells after her head injury.'' Sabini then flashed his hands in a familiar green aura as if to entertain everyone, and show he was truly himself. ''Whoooooosh! Green magic, blurgh!'
'
''Wait...remember magic?'' Astral suddenly turned to Idris, sensing something was off.
Kaila meanwhile felt desperate to check on her sister. ''I'm gonna check on Cai.'' She didn't pick up on the memory loss comment as she walked up the stairs.
"... What? It's not uncommon that people could forget some stuff when receiving blows to the head. Sabini was there when I was... well..." Not actually being there, Ginyu had to think fast. "... being attacked trying to save Cai. One of those attacks were right on my head, and it still stings."
''Hmm... Well that makes sense but...'' Astral would press on further, but there was still one other target in the room, Soara. ''So what about you? You've been glaring at me this whole time.'' Astral clenched her fists.
It was true, Soara was rather suspicious of Astral ever since Towa's message. "Yeah, because I know Ginyu likes that body of yours."
Meanwhile Kaila popped her head back from the upstairs balcony. ''Does anyone have a key into Cai's room? She won't let me in.'' Kaila wanted to avoid damaging the house if she could.
"Uh... about that Kaila. Cai let me in her room, and I saw the key still in there before I came down here. Though, I could use my mana for my lockpicking spell. I saw it in here somewhere..." 'Idris' then took out the spell book. While Ginyu was practicing spells before, he did skim and glance over some of the pages. He remembers the lockpicking spell was one of those pages, but couldn't remember where in the book it was.
After banging on Cai's door again with no avail, Kaila hollered back down to Idris. ''Yeah, if you could help unlock it that'd be cool. I don't have any money to buy a new door if I have to break it.''
"Ah, found the page. Coming." 'Idris' left the group, going up to Kaila. Standing in front of the door, the witch chanted. "Kcip kcol." Magic entered the keyhole and then exited from it, the door was now unlocked. "An easy one that doesn't use much mana."
''Thanks.'' Kaila placed her hand on the door handle to open it, before quickly turning her attention back to Idris. ''So your memory is back now I take it?''
"Yep, Sabini helped me out."
''Got it...'' Kaila said with a slight suspicion based on her bad hunch from the spell yesterday. ''Now, I'm gonna check on Cai to tick her off the list.'' Kaila opened the door before a boot was thrown and hit her in the face, knocking her back out. ''Ow!''
"What the?" Confused, Ginyu peaked in to see what Cai was doing.
Cai was curled up into a ball on her head, ready to throw a pillow until she saw Ginyu and hesitated. ''Oh, it's you...'' She shot him a glare.
"Umm... We're coming in, just don't throw anything else at us." The captain set foot into Cai's room, then walked to her.
''Fine.'' Cai then turned to a whisper. ''They're close to figuring you out, and there's nothing you can do.''
Kaila rubbed her nose outside, before noticing the boot and she went to pick it up before entering. She then entered with the boot in hand. ''Think you dropped this?''
Not replying to Cai, Ginyu turned to Kaila. "So, how are you gonna figure out Cai is herself?"
''Well violence is usually a good indicator, buuuut I got something better.'' Kaila leaned in and whispered something in Cai's ear, causing her to blush. ''Come on, answer right and I'll know it's not you.'' Kaila teased smirking.
Cai then whispered something back into Kaila's ear. ''Haha! Knew it, she's Cai!'' Kaila nodded before standing up. ''So now it's just Astral, Soara, and yourself to prove themselves.''
Cai looked down and away, wanting to tell Kaila who Ginyu really was but knowing she's forbidden to. Ginyu noticed, then looked at Cai in curiosity. "Aww... Tell me what you whispered to Kaila. I wanna know Cai." He ordered her.
''There's no she'll tell-''
Cai cut her sister off. ''It was my very first kiss from my first crush, Ricardo.'' Cai then covered her mouth as quickly as she'd said it.
The captain was speechless, but he had to recover from this somehow and maintain Idris' identity before Kaila could question. "Umm... I wasn't expecting you to actually say it. It was more like a 'I wanted to know but I know you won't tell me' situation, even though I still wanted to know."
Kaila was slightly miffed at Cai actually telling a secret to 'Idris', however now she could focus on Idris herself. ''Okay okay, but jokeing aside Idris, I can't lie so please respect my honesty. But forgetting how to do spells, even basics sounds like a red flag to me. And that spell you used on me yesterday in practice, it seemed oddly aggressive to practice on a friend.'' She then stood up. ''Now I'm going to let the group know Cai is off the list, and to check that Astral and Soara have made progress, but I'd like more answers off you when I'm done.'' She went to leave the room and Cai shot 'Idris' a smirk. Proud with how smart Kaila was behaving.
'Idris' looked at Cai with a worried face, but then remember that she is the slave here. The 'witch' smiled once more, now concocting a more brilliant plan. "Oh... hehe, I already won my mind controlled ally. Smile all you want, because I can still get away at being your witch friend here. Now, stand up and don't move."
Cai's smile went away as she frowned slightly at Ginyu's intact confidence. Then she was jolted into standing at attention, staying still. ''What are you planning now? Just give it up.''
"I'll never give up, because you're going to help me with something. You'll follow me back downstairs and to the living room, that's where the others are. When Kaila goes to question me, you are to shoot Kaila and Soara and admit that you are the great Captain Ginyu. You are to act like the great Captain Ginyu, personality, poses, and all until I say you can stop. And, to make sure everything plays out fine, I order you to follow these orders without any question and without any attempt to break free from my control." The captain had to make sure his plan was foolproof, he can't have any more risks at this point.
Cai's face dropped at the statement. ''What?! No way! You want me to act like... you? I won't hurt Kaila! I won't-'' Her eye pupils widened just for a moment as she calmed. ''I understand Captain...''
"Excellent. Now we go downstairs, Kaila is waiting." Ginyu led the way, having his obedient slave Cai follow him down.
'There's no I'm going through with this!' Cai thought in desperation. However her body looked calm as she walked downstairs, ready to follow Ginyu's plan.
''Ah, here she is.'' Kaila said, as Astral and Soara seemed calmer with each other as well. Clearly Kaila had said something regarding Idris, as both were staring at her intently.
Soara took a look at Astral before looking at 'Idris', now knowing that she could possibly be Ginyu. Soara herself, Cai, and Astral were battling together against Towa and Gine Black, Idris didn't show up until they were escaping, leading to believe that Ginyu could have the time to take her body. But still, Soara had one thought in her head. "Though, what if we don't think she's Ginyu? Like, she gives valid reasoning that she isn't that body swapping dolt."
''Now then... Idris, if you don't mind, I just have a couple more questions for you.'' Kaila asked, growing more certain this was indeed Captain Ginyu.
"Well sure, ask my anything Kaila." Ginyu crossed his arms, his plan about to be set into motion.
However, Cai walked past 'Idris' before raising her finger, shooting a finger beam through Soara's stomach and then one towards Kaila. Kaila had just enough time to raise a guard in horror, however was still blown through the wall. ''HAHAHA! IT IS I YOU'RE LOOKING FOR!'' Cai then walked on her tiptoes for a yard before twirling around into one of Ginyu's poses. ''THE GREAT CAPTAIN GINYU! HUHU!''
"ACK!" Struck with the beam, Soara coughed blood, unable to react in time and didn't anticipate an attack out of the blue.
"C-CAI?! B-BARRIER!" 'Idris' called forth a magical barrier protecting all those who were near her, except for Cai herself and Kaila. The witch has to acted surprised, having heard the sister of Cai saying that she wasn't Ginyu right before.
Cai couldn't help but feel forced to pull a twisted smile. ''Hehe... That's right buddy. But this body is mine now, serves Cai right for turning against the Dark Strike Force.'' Cai then fired a very weak ki blast towards Idris, it wouldn't hurt her, however it looked threatening enough to help Ginyu maintain his disguise while convincing everyone else she was Ginyu.
Meanwhile Kaila climbed back up from the debris. ''What? But, you answered my question! Only Cai would know that!''
Cai had to think and fast. ''That's right girl, but remember Cai was a slave to us for a long time, we learned everything about her life, the whole lot. But anyway that's enough talk.'' Cai then shot another blast at Kaila.
The real Ginyu did a fake gasp, looking at the blast going towards Kaila. "BARRIER EXTEND!" A part of the barrier extended to Kaila, surrounding her and protecting her from the blast. But then, Ginyu started to feel weaker, even a bit drained. Remembering what Sabini thought him, he knew what that meant. "Ugh, I'm starting to run low on mana... I don't know how long I can keep this barrier up.
"Just... find a way to knock the bastard out- ACK!" Soara coughed more blood, she was too injured to try and help.
Kaila switched her vision to 'Idris' who had just helped her from the blast. Realizing she must have wrong in suspecting 'Idris'. "Damn it... Ginyu..."
Meanwhile Astral was livid. ''AHHHHH!'' She turned Super Sayian 2, prompting 'Ginyu' to do the same. ''Sorry little girl, but you're out of your league. I liked being in that body of yours, but your mother's is far stronger so I'll stay in her body!'' Cai was panicking internally. There was nothing she could do to stop herself from this act, as much as she tried to fight Ginyu's orders.
"Astral, stop him..." Ginyu's arms gave way, now with Idris' body out of mana. The barrier disappeared, and the captain knelt down feeling a bit tired.
''You got it!'' Astral charged, meeting 'Ginyu' in a head on melee grapple. Kaila in the meantime powered up to her ultimate form, using Astral's opening to grab her sisters body in a chokehold.
''Damn you... HMPH!'' Cai could power into Super Saiayn Blue, but that would give away her real identity. No... If she was to be Ginyu there was no way she is to go above Super Saiyan 2, as Ginyu himself didn't learn that yet. This decision led to her to be knocked out by both Astral and Kaila.
'Idris' got up, tossing the spell book to Sabini. "Find the healing spell for Soara, then bind Ginyu!"
''Yes miss!'' Sabini scrambled for the right page.
However, Kaila still had the new bag of senzus from before. ''Soara here!'' She threw one.
This prompted Sabini to head over to Cai. ''Illeh binde!'' Green flashy ropes started to form along Cai's body, keeping it in place.
''What the heck... Mom, how?!'' Astral powered down, upset.
Soara quickly chewed and swallowed the bean thrown to her. With her wound instantly heal, and with yet another Zenkai Boost, Soara stood up again and looked at Cai. "I... I don't know. Unless... Maybe Ginyu didn't switch bodies back with Cai before we went to rescue her?"
''Dammit...'' Kaila sighed, powering down as well. ''At least we know it's him, now we just need to figure out what to do next.'' She walked over to Idris. ''Sorry for accusing you back there...''
"No no, it's fine. But... we need to find a way to go back to their base and save Cai." The captain's plan worked, making Cai act like him to take the fall for him before he was discovered.
"Yeah, but how? You took a piece my hair to track Cai since I have her original body, which led to their base. But now that Cai's body is here... is there another way to go back to the enemy's base?" Soara asked, worried.
Before, Ginyu didn't know about the bit of info the fake Cai has said. But, that can be useful to mention if need be. "I'll try, but you're gonna have to wait until my mana comes back."
Susana peaked out of the bathroom door, staying in there when the chaos happened. "Umm... Is it okay for me to come out?"
"Yeah, we got him." Soara replied.
The teacher got out of the bathroom, now knowing for sure that it was one of her students that is in danger. "Cai... She must be in a lot of trouble right now..."
''Yeah... I need to lie down for a bit while Idris finds a way to find the base.'' Kaila walked off to the guest room, defeated. Meanwhile Astral walked off to sit outside, saddened and furious.
As 'Idris' went to sit with Sabini, Soara followed Astral. She was concerned, this girl thought to have saved her mother but now nows that she was tricked by Ginyu. Astral's mother was in trouble, though not in the way she thinks. Approaching Astral, Soara calmly walked over to her. "Astral, you're frustrated aren't you? Got tricked by Ginyu to think he was actually Cai, just to try and kill us when we least expect it."
''But it doesn't make sense! Just when we thought we got her back!'' Astral started to cry.
"Hey hey hey..." Soara put her hand one of Astral's shoulders, reassuring her. "Trust me, we'll get your mom back to normal. I'll make damn sure of it, and you can kill Ginyu after they switch back."
''Damn right I will! Part of me wants to kill him now, not give him the chance to swap anyone else.''
"No. Because if you do that, Cai's body would be destroyed before we can return Cai to it. I know that you don't wanna deal with anymore of Ginyu, but please be patient. We'll get your mom back to normal, I promise."
Astral wiped her tears away. ''Fine...''
Meanwhile, 'Idris' and Sabini conversed. "Damn that Ginyu! He'll pay for stealing Cai's body, and I'll kill him once we make Cai normal again."
Sabini looked at Cai's body. ''So we're gonna have to fight them again, only this time without Cai's help.''
"Yeah..." Ginyu leaned back, sinking a bit into the couch. "Though, what scares me is that he was able to pull of being Cai so well..."
''I know... Could be magic from that witch bitch.'' Sabini then got up. ''I'll go look at the book to see how we can switch them back...'' He then walked off.
"Right, and thanks Sabini. I just need to replenish my mana before I try to find Cai, because I have to be ready for when I save her again." Everything worked out great in the end for Ginyu. A new body with magical powers, no more suspicion on him in his feminine body, and people who trust him into thinking he's Idris. Perhaps it was maybe better to stay in this body for a bit longer for now, or maybe even longer until there was no other choice.
