Autumn is such a beautiful looking character.
I love also love how the blue eyes just stand out against those beautiful shades of brown.

Thanks! On all accounts, lol.
Lines aren't too difficult. I use GIMP, as well -- to get lines that smooth, I just use paths instead of the pencil tool.

Found a good tutorial for you. Actually, it had a few things even I didn't know about (such as Brush Dynamics).

This one is basically the exact same technique that I use.

The only difference is that I generally do my lines at two or three pixels thick, then zoom in at 800% and manually taper the lines off to a point by making a triangle shape with a line one pixel thick. I think it looks a lot better than using the eraser.

No problem! I'd write you up a tutorial myself, but I've got a lot of projects going on at the moment. I greatly hope that the discovery of paths is as much of a revolution to your art as it was to mine.

I like the hard-edge vector styling. That's hard to do on a furry creature!

Thank you! It wasn't too difficult -- I just used paths. But as I use paths for just about everything, it wasn't too much of a stretch, lol. You may be seeing more of this style -- I haven't decided how much I like it yet.
