Really? It's been a month since my last upload? Yikes.I've been drawing. But, some of it, I can't post.
So here's a little thing I did, intending for it to be the title image for my sketch blog (since I go through sketchbooks fairly regularly with almost none of it seeing the light of Internet). They're two separate drawings. I finished them, put them together, painted my hand and everything. Then I stopped and thought, "I can barely maintain my online presence as it is. Am I really gonna be able to update a blog on a regular basis?" Obvs, the answer is 'No.' Or actually, more like, "Not right now."
So the blog is on hold. But at least you can see what could've been. Hope you dig.
And yes, that's really how I hold my pencil: left-handed and kinda weird.

I adore her hair. She looks so whimsical it almost hurts me. I love that the piece looks so simple and yet you really capture an artist creating a new person, a new world.
Ever since I was little I have always had this notion that if an artist of any kind put enough effort, was truly inspired by a piece, that they were tapping into existing worlds and realities and telling their stories or sometimes creating new worlds and realities, and in essence created new life elsewhere through their art. I still like to think that, and your piece has really, very simply, helped capture that for me.

I'm a lefty too, but I wouldn't say that that is the typical way lefties hold their pencils...to each his own though. I hold my the traditional way, and it never hurt, or helped my drawing, it just was what it was.

I like her hair. She's so damn pretty. Also, you hold the pencil sorta weirdly, but then again I haven't met two people who grab the pencil the same wa when writing or drawing, so that's ok.

I love everything about this, I really do. The coloring is so soft and natural, and the varied thickness of the lines makes for lifelike contrast. The hair is soooo perfect!

Trust me, I've seen people hold pencils weird-er. Two twins in my class, best cartoonists I've met outside the internet, and they looked like they'd simultaneously cramped, broken, and spasmed their hands. Got the teachs pretty worried.
Love the art! It's a great stle you've put to it, the way it flows out your pencil...
