I really like the texture--it adds so much to the piece. The figure is great as well, and the peacock feather-like hair.

I love adding textures. I sometimes think I draw just to add a texture to something and bring it to life.

It really does bring it to life! My digital work is never as lively as my traditional work, alas, and I haven't been working digitally for every long, it's sort of an in-between hobby. I dig the texture idea.

I was accepted to a bunch of schools across the country but I didn't get enough money to go. So I sit at home and keep on going. You don't need school to be an artist. Though I do wish I could of gone.

Amen to that! Tuition is out of people's reach, it's awful. I'm on shaky ground as it is, but if I wasn't attending I hope I'd be smart enough to keep going as well. It looks as though you have a natural sense, anyway--your figure work is nice.

Thanks. I've only ever been to one figure drawing class. I draw from photos a lot. I'm still trying to get into local galleries though. Screw the system.

For all the education artists can pursue, most of them want to be or end up freelancing anyway, and the work itself is what gets jobs and gallery space. I wish you luck!
