So this is the first time I have ever made a digital painting of a wolf, and to me I think it turned out pretty darn good for a first time! ^^ I have no idea what kind of wolf this is, but I thought it would be cool to add something to this one to make it a bit different than the average wolf by giving it that red streak there going down to its snout.Next time I try and draw a wolf I'll try learning more of the anatomy and work on getting a wolfs entire body into a picture sometime! ^^
Btw, just in case, I am not abandoning mlp art, I am only exercising other areas of art that have always captured my imagination. And considering that I one day would like to be a professional digital artist I thought it would be good to be able to learn how to draw a large variety of things!

Wow I'm impressed! I admire that you're branching out and exploring and applying your skills in different ways. it's really going to help you grow as an artist. Also, great job on the fur! The way you made it standing up in all the right places makes it more realistic instead of flat. I also once again love the way you see and use light in your pieces. Thats a hard thing to do and it took me a while to figure out. I still havnt mastered it as well as you. Lastly, way to go being original and adding your own little flare into it. The red streek looks pretty cool not gonna lie lol

Thank you, and I hope to branch out to several more new and interesting things to help me grow as much as I can as an artist! ^^ And I'm glad that the fur came out alright, though I have to admit, it's a bit longish for a wolf, but I'm glad that I was able to still give the affect of form and dimension, rather than something flat! And lighting... it's an easy concept, but hard to pull off sometimes. Like, you know where you want the light source, but how it affects the object takes a bit of doing to understand, in fact most of the time I fell as if I just get lucky on it! XD And I'm glad ya think that the red streak looks cool, I was really hoping it would since it looked pretty cool in my mind when I thought about making it! XD
