PERSONALITY

Despite being a princess, Laura never demands any special attention, nor does she put herself first above others. She often thinks of others before herself, risking her life to help anyone who needs her. She is straightforward and of a firm beliefs. Laura's personality traits are honesty, curiosity, innovation, amiability, inconsistency, disinclination, detachment, deviation tendencies and inefficiency. BACK STORY

Childhood:

Born as a princess and a only child, Laura is very independent, but at the same time, very adventurous. At some point during Laura's childhood, she came across a Grimm when she snuck out of her room to explore the nearby woods. Her caretaker, Nina, rescued her, followed by slapping her, and told her that if any harm befell her, she would not know what to do. As a way of making up with her, Nina showed her how to use Nina's utility shield and told her that she'll train her hard to grow strong so that she could protect the kingdom. On her 10th birthday, a mysterious guest bestows a brace that would come in handy. Weeks later, a rebellion had surfaced. Though she doesn't know why there is one, Nina had been assigned to guard her at all times. As her people spills their own blood and morale low, a wave of Grimm suddenly appeared and overpowered Laura's kingdom. They made their way to the castle and one of them scratches Laura's back and tries to drag her, until Nina arrive and saves her. Nina gave Laura her shield to defend herself and escape, while Nina stays behind to slow them down, as she is bleeding out from the ambush and is only dead weight. Nina knows Laura is capable of defending herself, so as long she has the shield and showed her the secret path through the forest to a nearby town with Hunters. Laura escapes to the forest and looks back to see her kingdom, engulfed in cloud, before disappearing in the woods, followed by echoes of screaming.

"Lavender Trailer"

A hooded girl sits on a chair, near a window, at a diner. She watches the window pane. The whole streets covered in heavily rain. She skips the diner, leaving her money on her half-eaten meal. She felt...no...she knew someone has been tailing her. She calmly walks, knowing she is being followed by group of three black cloaked men. Once she stops at a park, she turns to the cloaked men. Their faces were covered by masks that represents happiness and sadness. One pulls out a gun and points it at the girl, but the girl quickly lashes her modified flying utility shield and uses the grappling hook from the front to pull the gun away. The three cloaked men charges at her and tries to cut her down with baton tasers. The girl uses her shield to block their attacks, then kicks one, backflips, and dodges one of their attacks. Her hood fell back to reveal Laura. Her face and hair is now covered in raindrops. Her calm, yet determined face looks at her enemies and studies them. She closes her eyes and once she opens them, one of her attackers proceeds to attack her. She opens the lid from the right from the front of her shield to shoot out bebe bullets, which caught the first attacker off guard, given Laura to shield bash him repeatedly, trips his legs, then hurdles him to a monkey bars with her shield. She then quickly dodges an attack of the second one, opens a compartment that has flash bombs and blinds the second attacker. Laura then proceeds to beat him down. She finishes him off when she jumps on his shoulder, backflips in the air, and kicks the second attacker's face very hard, breaking his mask and causing him to crash to a tree. Laura turns her attention to the last attacker, who retrieves his gun that Laura took and attempts to shoot her from a long distance. She blocks every incoming attacks and calculates the amount of bullets. Once he ran out of ammo, she throws her shield, attached to a cable, from her gauntlet at the third attacker. The side of the shield pulls out blades and nearly hits the attacker. The attacker dodges it by a nose, but Laura plans this and pulls the shield back, tying up the attacker and yanks him towards her. The attacker looks up to see her blue and brown eyes, before Laura retrieves her shield and uses her shield to finish off the attacker. Three of the hooded cloaked men were tied down to a tree with a note for the cops attached to them. Laura had her hood back up, but removes it when the rain stops and she finally sees The building of Beacon.
