Good job, love the NG characters. Rachel is missing again but it's a NG3RE render and she aren't in the game.

I would be smiling too if I had Momiji's toned and firm butt pressed up against my head. Ryu doesn't seem to mind her using him as a chair. I sense that Ayane is up to no good and has something sexy in mind for the four ofΒ them.Β Β KasumiΒ meanwhile is pretending to play innocent but she likes being in their company.Β I wasn't expecting another great render of the four ninjas hanging out together so soon but hey that works for me.

Who knows?
However, I too hope that the Godlike-Ninja (figuratively, I mean) is smiling under that mask in this situation.
Do you agree that Mr. Hayabusa earned the title of god-like?
Also, how this for an idea?:
A Devil May Cry Alternate Universe where Dante is westernized, but is a also a walking love letter to American Superhero Stories instead of Anime Heroes?

I can't get behind any attempt to westernize Devil May Cry even if it is an Alternate Universe. It's fine the way it is. Just as how I wouldn't try to change God Of War into your typical Eastern hack and slash the likes of any Suda 51 title,Gungrave and so forth, the same should apply to any Eastern property.
You're not going to bring in more fans and customers with that approach as Capcom is learning the hard way unless your intent is to piss them off and lose a lot of money. Some franchises simply do not have enough material to make spin offs.

I do not mean westernized in Ninja Theory's stupid way (yes, I know that the DmC Reboot's sucked badly), I mean in a different way. Picture this:
An alternate universe where, in this version, Dante has all of the good old, awesome personality traits Classic Dante has, but was born in the Cold War era, and kicks demon ass in the Cold War era.
Also, you know how Classic Dante and his adventures are a huge love letter to anime heroes?
Well, this alternate reality version of Dante and his adventures is a big love letter to western superheroes (Note: a loose tribute.)

Why not just have a prequel focusing on Sparda or give Trish and Lady their own game.Β
That sounds like something even Hideo Kojima would turn down and he's done far dumber things in the Metal Gear Solid series.

True, I like the idea of a prequels, but I was just suggesting Alternate Universe ideas for Devil May Cry set in different time periods.
Though you have convinced me to not add any westernization, though.
That part's not needed.
Thank you for convincing me that the westernization thing is not always nessasery.
However, I still think it would be cool to see what it would it have been like if Dante's demon-hunting adventures took place in different eras.
I rethought about it. I now realize that Cold War era doesn't really suit a character like Dante.
For Dante and the other demonhunters, how about this idea instead?:
A Devil May Cry alternate universe where Dante and friends have the exact same personalities as their Classic counterparts, but were born in the Wild West, and kicked demon ass in that era?
The reason why I thought about that idea now is because something about Dante always made me think about the cowboy archetype for some reason.
Sorry.

In terms of video games strictly, there's an highly underrated gem on the first Playstation calledΒ Rising Zan: The Samurai Gunman which possibly may have been the inspiration for Devil May Cry. I never played it myself, but I heard about it due to subscribing to PSM when I was a teenager. It takes place in the 1800s.
The reason why I am so apprehensive about taking Devil May Cry in the past because the series doesn't seem fit for such a change of pace. Motorcycles and other modern things would then have to be removed and replaced.
Of course that is just my point of view. I cannot and will not stop you from coming up with such ideas. It is afterall your own opinion.

I see.
It doesn't have to be completely changed, just keep the essentials, like Classic Dante's epically awesome personality and the demons intact. I think Wild West would work with Dante because that era was just as rambunctious, aggressive, and zany as he is.
I based this crazy idea on Marvel's Noir Universe, in which several Marvel Heroes were reimagined in the Depression Era (1920's-1930's.)
Also, along with the Cold War Dante and Wild West Dante ideas, here are some other crazy (and maybe stupid) ideas (in no particular order):
-Feudal Japan Dante.
-Roarin' 20's/Dirty 30's Dante.
-Civil War Dante.
-Napoleonic-Era Dante.
-Medieval Europe Dante.
-Renaissance-Era Dante.

The Devil May Cry anime was mediocre as with the Bayonetta anime which in the case of the latter was a retelling of the events of the first game. The DMC anime didn't answer many questions still lingering such as Dante's past, what happened to Vergil after he was defeated, what happened to their parents and so forth.
Metal Gear Solid,Castlevania, and Mortal Kombat are better examples of video games universes much larger and more in depth than this one.

Oh, I see.
To be fair, we have yet to see Sparda's and Eva's past history pre-DMC3 (I do recall that DMC3 was the canonical beginning of the Classic Devil May Cry Series, yes?), and Vergil's life between DMC3-DMC4.
You know, in your defence, I kind of wish I could just soccer kick Tameem for causing the alienation between the DmC Reboot fans and DMC Classic fans, but sadly, Tameem's thugs- Err, I mean, security guards would all just football tackle me to the ground and beat my ass.
DmC Reboot's story is one of the aspects of the Reboot that really sucked. The story had some potential, such demons infiltrating society and posing as humans and the angel aspect, but Ninja Theory freaking squandered it all!

Or just simply make another IP with these ideas. No need to use Devil May Cry as a template. Marvel is a huge universe hence why there are so many different worlds and realities.
Alternatively let's use other series such as Final Fantasy where for the most art each game is its own universe.

I see.
I understand that you're worried about the technology gaps and the possibilities that they would change the personalities of the characters.
To be fair, the horrible story of the DmC Reboot did not help at all.Β Man, Capcom's current behaviour towards it's fanbases makes me wish that Platinum Games would just buy all of Capcom's IPs.
However, Classic Devil May Cry technically is a huge universe itself thanks to that one DMC anime series that helped expand the universe of DMC Classic.
