Description Three pics in one day!? That's a whole lot coming from me.
Like I said there were more pics coming your way, an
d this just goes to show.
I'm actually very proud of this piece, still suck at backgrounds, but hey I dont care.
this is a pretty large file so it might take some time to load.
The coloring was much better than this, but you know how my scanner is, old junk so I won't even bother.
I just love these two, especially buizel gosh their so cute!~

thankyou! I thought my squares were even when I made them. I just hate how imperfect it looks on screen. The border was much bigger too, but I had to cut it out because my scanner couldn't scan all of it.

Yeah, they are a little bit bevel.
Anyway, I like it! It's totally cute ^^

really depends on how I feel. I don't like doing traditional art because my scanner always messes it up.(hence the floatzel and buizel picture) and I don't like spending forever photoshopping pictures all the time.
guess you can say i'm a complainer?
I shouldn't be complaining though. Look at your works compared to mine you probably spent a whole lot more time then I am working on your pictures, and I don't hear you complaining.

Aw, I understand.
I don't want to spend my whole time with photoshop etc., too and I really like doing traditional art (oils, coloured pencils, acrylic, airbrush) but it's always too large |D
I can't scan it because I paint furnitures, walls, doors |D (I arranged my flat with these)
It's heavy and big

I don't call you a complainer because it's totally normal to critisize oneself!
I assume my last pictures to be practise only.
Surely, I want them to look good but that's not my main aim.
I make quite a lot of mistakes like everyone else but I think I will learn from mistakes and then, I probably don't make similar mistakes again.
Anyway, I hope so XD
Sometimes, I make slow progress and then, I'll have a break and pause to think.
That's really important because you put some daylight between yourself and your picture.
Because of that you see your painting from a different angle and you're able to locate errors and to correct these.
Of course, you can't always continuing in this way.
Sometimes, you have to stay the course but then..try something that takes your mind a little bit off these things and that eases the terms. Catch-word: Multitasking.
For example, hear music, read a book, phone somebody and paint at one time. Sounds strange but otherwhile it works. Try different ways and then you'll find your method which suits you well.

And don't bother yourself!

yeah but the color quality sucks!

ScrambledMeg In reply to calicobird [2009-09-29 00:01:52 +0000 UTC]

It's not that bad. It's better than anything my scanner could do. Did you try changing the brightness and contrast?

I do but they always turn out funny.

Bleh, yeah that happens a lot. My scans never look quite right. That's why i mostly do digital art. And even then it looks better before i upload it.

true, but I usually do traditional when I honestly dont feel like taking my tablet and spending hours in filling in one color.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ScrambledMeg In reply to calicobird [2009-09-30 00:52:29 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, i get a major headache from doing that. D; So i end up just doing the fill color and fixing it around all the lines. And sometimes i spend more time fixing the lines than coloring. P:

I wish my Crapola pencils didn't run out so fast, or i'd do traditional more often.

Illustrator is like 20x faster at coloring lines than Photoshop. Of course I'm still getting used to that program so there are a lot of things that frustrates me i'm using it.

ScrambledMeg In reply to calicobird [2009-09-30 01:40:30 +0000 UTC]

Illustrator sounds cool! It's gotta be better than my free photoshop elements 6 that likes to freeze. XD Does it let you animate?

um not that I'm aware of as of yet. I know Flash, and photoshop have those features though.

my school has graphic design. The teacher is a successful business man so he bought everything in the class by himself. So he has all of adobes CS3(except elements) and we have rad Mac PC's

You dont even need Photoshop Elements, it's the free version. Regular photoshop is way better.

My media art class has Macs too. They're so pretty!

calicobird In reply to ScrambledMeg [2009-10-03 23:28:57 +0000 UTC]

but the thing is is that photoshop elements can do 95% of the things photoshop can(of course most people only use about 3% of what it has to offer...or less)

ScrambledMeg In reply to calicobird [2009-10-04 07:04:36 +0000 UTC]

Im just sad about elements not being able to animate. But the fact that its almost as good as the full Photoshop but i got it for free with my tablet makes it loveable. XD

is it true that elements is free though?

The package was about 80 bucks and it included Wacom Bamboo Fun, a painter thing, and Photoshop elements.

no they just sell the tablets themselves(plus the apple store I go to smells like technology and sweat...not a pleasant smell.)

ScrambledMeg In reply to calicobird [2009-10-11 04:16:21 +0000 UTC]

Hmm... I didnt notice it came with that other stuff until i checked the small print on the back of the box. They really should have put that on the front of the box to get more buyers, or at least made a big deal out of that somehow, because that's what made me buy it, but i could have skipped right over it if i didnt look more into it- eew technology and sweat.
