Acrylic, truth be told I need to get a clear coat on to prevent the paint from scratching off.

Well most people use nail polish remover to get rid of the pony's original eye. I usually just paint over the existing color and use the eye, it saves a lot of time and hair tearing out. It does require a very small brush for detailing as does the cutie mark. When making the hourglass, start with the light blue portion to get the shape of the hourglass, then add the sand on top of the blue when it's dry. From there you can add the top and bottom of the hourglass and the shine. I know it's a lot of information, but I hope it helps.

Oh, I didn't mean actual sand, I meant the sand color on the cutie mark, but that actually sounds interesting now that I think about it.
