Stex admires the snowflakes while Dee admires...the taste of the window?

When the first snowflakes began to gently fall down from the heavens, Dee and Stex took a moment from their duties to admire the soft, white balls of fluff. Stex from his duties of preparing the kitchen for the Christmas meal, and Dee from her duties of watching the egg, whom she had named 'Eggna'.

In truth they both wanted to fling aside their jobs and leap out, into the snow, but it had barely begun to settle, and both dragonlings knew that their friends would be annoyed, if not a little disappointed, that they hadn't waited for them. So they glued themselves to the window. Stex comprimised by following large flakes with his eyes and smiling when they dropped delicately to the ground, and Dee comprimised by licking the window and shivering at how oddly cold it felt on her tongue.
