Hello! I'm from and once the gorgeous red color of this piece, I couldn't resist clicking!Β
I think that's definitely this piece's biggest strength, the deep, beautiful colors! They make for a very intense atmosphere, and you can see the same effect but with a different atmosphere in your Lady of the Lake piece as well. But I do think something is missing with these colors, that being the highlights. There are some places in the red that aren't as dramatically shaded, such as her thigh and breasts, and this makes them look flat in comparison. Those places and anywhere else with the base red shade should definitely have lighter shades added to them, because this will make the piece more dynamic and make the colors even more breathtaking. This same flatness is also present in the hair, skin, and to some extent the throne. I also find it odd that since the apple is very clearly glowing there isn't any evidence of that anywhere on the body. In addition to adding highlights corresponding to the major light source, I would also recommend adding yellow highlights to the areas that would realistically be affected by the apple's glow.Β

My next concern is her hair. It kind of looks like the test animation you'd see on 3d models, several masses of hair instead of strands. The hair here looks like two sections very heavily divided as if they were in cartoonishly exaggerated pony tails. There are some characters were gravity defying hair is possible, and I could see a goddess of chaos turning off their personal gravity, but since this is a common technique throughout your pieces I'm gonna go with it not being a trait of the character. I would suggest you look at references of not just real life hair, but also how other artists draw hair. It can flow outward like it does here, but the majority of the strands towards the center would likely flow down and inwards to the small of her back.Β

Next I'd like to talk about the arms. The upper arms both seem a little long, especially since the left forearm is much shorter. The right shoulder is also pushed up too far, causing the same effect. There is also significantly less definition in the arms compared to the face, making them look unfinished. I also think the armrests of the throne should be much higher, because as is she's just kind of awkwardly leaned over. Having it higher would make her posture more believable, as well as give you a better visual aid for where the elbow should be placed. It also looks like her butt isn't actually on the seat of the throne, so her whole body should be moved down a little bit

But once again this is a gorgeous piece, and I look forward to seeing more of your art in the future!Β Β

You're very welcome, I'm glad I could help!Β
And that explains a lot of the choices you made, and I can definitely see you developing them more in the future too!

On a slightly different note, I wanted to ask you a favor. I'm currently working on a video series that focuses on giving in depth critique to artists, because I'd like to present critiques to the artist and to others that may also learn from it. I wanted to know if you'd be interested in letting me use your art in one of my videos
The first one can be seen here, just so you've got a better idea of how I give the critiques:Β

What's funny is that she's basically a footnote in Greek mythology, but is still remembered to this day.

Haha yes well I'm really into everything related to greek mythology but when I saw the sinbad movie "legend of the seven seas" I just fell in love with her and she became one of my favorite goddess 😍
