I love romantic tragedy. What the fuck is wrong with me? I'm glad I'm not the only one.

There's something compelling about romantic tragedies. While I'd never want to live one out, they're fascinating to read.

Wow. I've never read anything so amazing about her before. I adore this.

Thanks! I've never written more than an analytic paper about Ophelia. (We had to find a song and tie it to one of the books we read in my AP Lit class senior year of high school. I chose Natalie Merchant's song "Ophelia", since we read Hamlet.) She's one of my favorite characters, and the idea just hit me!

Thanks! The project was amazing in some ways, but was more of a pain in the ass. For this project, we had to contact the artist whose song we wanted to use, or find an interview, that has them stating the song was specifically about character/literary work xyz.
I chose the song "Ophelia" by Natalie Merchant, and did manage to get a response from her even though she was overseas promoting an album! She did write the song about Shakespeare's Ophelia, and the facets of her personality. My teacher couldn't believe I'd gotten a response!
