Cause it's job is to hunt other spaceships. It's a multipurpose spacecraft, capable in many areas of space combat.

(Also, to clarify, those antennas aren't actually antennas -well some are- but they are actually spires that shoot out high concentrated energy that can be used to engage enemies. Yes, I know, very sci-fi.)
