Description
A new character~!This took forever and a day to crank out, but the lineart went faster because I found a new way of inking (bless thee oh pen tool~!). Colouring took a long time too, but the whole image took about 2 and a half days (I work really big).
Sketched in my sketchbook, inked and coloured in Photoshop 7
Original: 1774h x 3700w

[edit] - I forgot to mention the brushes are V-brushes, and the crest on her shirt is from....ndsj.org? (I googled "crest" and that was what came up...)

It's nothing special at all, all i do is find an image, make a brush out of it, and then stamp it onto the clothes. It's nothing special at all~

Yeah, I usually ink with my tablet and the brush tool, but I'm so obsessive about having clean lineart that one pic literally takes days. I found the pen tool is much faster and gives much smoother lines.

Thank you! I wasn't sure how well the colour came out, the jpeg compression kind of killed them. The original is much more crisp, I wish i could upload that!

That's happened to me before, especially when resizing. I think if you save the original file as a TIFF and then resize it you have a better chance of keeping most of the quality. Then after that you should be able to save it as a jpg with as little compression possible to also maintain the drawing as it is, the drawback is that the jpg has a bigger file size but normally it's not a problem.

You can alwyas just save the jpg with the highest quality, which usually has a low compression but i suppose the method i told you is best when resizing really large images ^^
