My Society6 || Facebook || Instagram || TumblrI'm very excited to announce I will be participating inΒ Gallery Nucleus exhibition , "In the name of the Monsters, The Robot & the Bleeding Ghost" - a Guillermo del Toro tribute show beginning January 13th, 2018. (Watercolor, India ink)
Can't believe I got another opportunity to create a tribute to one of my favorite films of all time, Pan's Labyrinth. Had this idea when I created my last tribute, but wasn't sure I could pull it off at the time. It's pretty rewarding to actually see it done now. Here is my 2015 piece for Gallery1988:

The movie was wonderful, well the fantasy parts. (Still canβt believe that Spain had itβs first free election in 1977 after 40 years dictatorship)
You hit the fantasy imagination of an child very well.
Maybe even better than the movie, as it is much closer to the fantasy world of an child from 1945.
But it is a modern film for adults, and a very, very good one.

Yeah, I agree. Pan is an interesting character in general and Guillermo made good use of the dark side of his character. He is a complex character in this amazing story, it's just perfect <3
