Petty didn’t know why she was out so late. It probably had something to do with this weird forest calling to her. The dwarf Silky hadn’t planned on making the trip out here but she had. Away from her family for those few moments as she made her way across the autumn forest into the dark one. The fog had littered the area - making her ears twitch as she shivered because of the cold. Something about this place didn’t feel right - but she wanted to find out what the source of it was. It was as if the season had dropped something mysterious on her.

The Felvarg frowned, hoping that she wasn’t going to run into anything dangerous while she was here. The worst thing would be to return to her father with an injury. She finally had found some sense of freedom as she grew into adulthood. Of course she didn’t expect to be going anywhere any time soon, but this place it almost felt like it literally wanted to kill her. The Silky found herself shivering, her fur waving in the wind as she took in a deep breath. She was going to get through this and get back home no problem.

The more Petty walked though, the less confident she was. She could have sworn she was starting to see things. When she looked around and actually noticed what was around her it felt like this place had been cursed. The tree’s were twisted in despicable ways, her eyes concentrating on the limbs that looked like hands reaching her way. Distraught faces appearing on them as the ground underneath her appeared gray and dead. There was no grass from what she could see, unless it was just a pale silhouette.

No wait… that was a creature in front of her. Petty squinted her eyes, taking a few steps forward as she saw the shape moving back and forth through the forest. She grimaced, hoping that it wasn’t something too dangerous. She didn’t feel like being eaten or poisoned even, as the whispers got louder Petty decided it would just be best if she figured out what the shadow was. She began to follow it through the forest, her paws carefully stepping around branches and twigs, dodging trees as she went. Petty took a deep breath as she went, not letting her anxiety stop her from this.

Once the shadow stopped and turned towards her she noticed the green eyes. The length form of the animal was in an arch, and a meow left it's jaws. It was a black cat, with a bell around its neck. The sudden noise brought her back to reality almost. Taking her breath away as Petty sat down for a second. Her eyes were trained on the cat, watching its tail wiggle back and forth much like a snake. It almost felt as the cat was staring into her soul. Petty couldn’t stop looking as the cat started to walk towards her with a purr.

No. Petty stood up with a hiss, she lowered her head and barked at the black cat. Something was seriously wrong with that creature and she wanted nothing to do with it. As she turned around she let her paws try to carry her as far as she could away. In the distance she could see a cottage with a spiky fence. That dark figure there made her fur stand on end. She was so glad that she was leaving. Her head turned straight ahead as she ran. She knew she wasn’t going to wake up in the middle night ever again.
