For the 100 theme challenge: [link]Self crit: The folding on the pants looks a bit excessive, the left hand should be more turned & better porpotioned.
-rolls- :3. Finally sumbitted something else related to the 100 theme challenge. Seriously, I'll be like 25 before I even finish this. I do like one a year-- ROFLMAO! Ok, make that like 50.
The writing at the left says, "Hajimemashite," or, "Nice to meet you." The Kanji writes, "Victory," or "Masaru," which is the character's name. Lack of creativity results in doing a theme from the challenge -shot-

Hey it looks awesome ^_^ However the hiragana for "Ha" is wrong (The strokes are next to each other) But I can see how it'd be confusing.

I think the one jarring thing is the wood and the duster at the bottom of the chalkboard. It looks really fake compared with your efforts on the board itself. Otherwise nice pic! He looks very suave.

Well basically...you need more shading. A straightforward way would be having two layers on top of the texture on multiply and screen for shadows and highlights respectively and just mess around w/ paintery brushes. and obviously taking into account light sources, shadows introduced by other objects, etc.
also have some shadows around the object to not make it look as if it's just floating. for instance in this case you would want some below the wooden part on the white wall.
I hope that's okay, lol. Seeing a slapdash bgd behind a gorgeous character in the foreground can detract from the image, even if it's just a simple thing like a duster or a plank of wood. Although I think the blackboard is awesome.

Your folds tend to be excessive, everything but the arm on the left has too many folds. suggestion: more references? I do like what you`re doing with the hands now, very sexy.

I noticed the folds too. Pose references are easy to find but as for specific clothing in specific motion is a bit difficult I tried to try it myself infront of a mirror but had trouble remembering what I saw and putting it down on paper .___. Hopefully I can improgve on this. 8D Thanks! Working on hands a lot more, too.
