Description So, for the past... three months(?) I’ve been working on a “live client” project for University, where we find a client who agrees to supervise us for the duration in order for us to get some real word experience before we graduate this year. My client was ImagineFX (the art editor to be precise) and I had to create two cover images that fit the brief “Art is Our Religion” (which was the brief for the 50th issue).

This is the second image, which is about as opposite from the first one as you can get. I took a slightly more sideways approach for it, which eventually ended up as “if dragons formed a society, what would a member of a religious order look like?” I got a rather stiff neck from all the late nights I pulled working on this, but the pain was worth it. The wings aren’t as detailed as I’d have liked, and the pose is rather static - word from the wise: DAZ Studio models are not very helpful in creating dynamic poses. What I wouldn’t give for the option to reduce them to spheres and cylinders (the bounding box option is useless).

The first image for this project can be seen here. [link]

Additional information and WIPs for both images can be seen here. [link]
