No problem! I had two Corvettes and my parents had six. Most of my aunts and uncles had them at one time or another too.

They are high maintenance and very expensive to own and operate...

I would highly recommend something else!

Trust me on this- I know what I'm talking about.

I've done several Corvette body-off-frame restorations.

I love watching a car or truck being restored. Just seeing the before and after of it.

Restorations--Back before the gas/diesel prices made a huge jump making the parts and shipping of parts very expensive it was the way to go.

Nowadays- it's much cheaper buying a vehicle finished if it is done correctly.

Example: My dad still has a 58 Corvette in need of a restoration. If I do it-it  will roughly cost 100K. If we have it done- it will cost about 150k. If we buy an already restored 58 at an auction- it will cost about 60K.

It's a lot like being "upside-down" on a house loan. You have much more in it- than what it's worth ---Very Easily!

It is so easy to get Way Too Much Money in a vehicle...even a classic Corvette.

You have to be very aware of what you want to do (as far as a restoration) and what an already finished one goes for at auction(s).

Another Example: The 1963-1982 Corvettes have basically the same frame. They will be about the same amount of money to restore in an equal apples vrs apples restoration... However a 1963 Z06 Corvette is worth about 300-400k and a 1982 Corvette is worth about 10-20K.

You really have to do your research before you begin restoring anything.
