Next to virtuous young maidens, there is nothing a unicorn likes better than sunflower seeds. Actually, to be truthful, maidens probably come in second – third perhaps, if you take cantaloupes into account.
But nobody writes stories about that sort of thing.

This is really beautiful! Sunflowers are my favorite flower and this is such a unique and sweet look for unicorns. The soft light reminds me of a peaceful morning.
The fact that they're stealing sunflowers makes me a little angry, though, haha, since I grew some from seed myself this year. Squirrels like to steal whole heads of the smaller ones, and finches love to eat seeds for breakfast, too.

That's actually because there were two different entries in the medieval bestiaries:
UNICORNIS: a small, cloven-hooved creature, about the size of a kid;
MONOCEROS: A large, solid-footed beast. 7@=e

I was thinking of this entry: "But the cruellest is the Unicorne, a monster that belloweth horrible, bodyed like a horse, footed like an elephant, tayled like a Swyne, and headed like a Stagge. Awesome how you've placed the horn lower on the head than you see in most versions, same with how you gave it two hooves instead of just one like horses have.

I adore this! I like that you used softer more natural browns on the unicorns, it gives them the perfect complimentary look for the sunflowers. There is such a whimsy to the idea that unicorns could be sunflower thieves, gives them a lot of personality! And the artist comments are so humorous, I got a good smile out of them
