Description Christy Lukowych was a beautiful and unusual looking husky. Her family had a professional photographer take stunning portraits of their fur-kid that just blew me away. So, instead of trying to paint her in the realistic/elegant way, I chose to paint a caricature. Because I don't think I could add anything to her memory with realism - the photographer did all that so very well.

Yeah she has a tail. I may have cropped it funny or it could be behind her. I don't remember, darn it! But I'm pretty sure she had a tail.

With only one reference image I had to pretty much paint what I saw but I like how it turned out! [link]

Thank you. I was fascinated by the dog when I got the references. So neat looking! She's so elegant so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the 'cute' painting will be acceptable to her commissioner. If not, I might be able to make a couple changes and sell prints of it - and paint her a more realistic version of her dog.

Looks like you'll get to lol. She said while she loves it, she's not really into characters/caricatures. I kinda saw that coming though, and it's okay. She wants a more realistic painting with an ethereal/angelic touch. So, you'll be seeing that one shortly!
