Cat's Cradle is an acrylics and oil painting on canvas.16x20.
this is for the Myplasticheart Zodiac Show, February 11th, 2011.
Two years ago I painted a dragon and this year I chose the tiger.
It's a fun painting that has an alternate name, Tiger Yarn

Ahh! So precious! What strikes me in particular is that the cats look like they're made out of string, rather than the more realistic style you usually do. (:

How darling! I especially like the way the tigers are both formed from the yarn and draped in it, as the tails show. And the little girl's expression! The big eyes make her look so innocent, a little girl entertaining herself with yarn, while the touch of string in her mouth shows that she is pretending to be a cat too.
It's a bit odd the way the top of her head simply seems to disappear, when the black tiger's foot shows that the orange tiger's body isn't opaque.
I wonder where the strings lead to?
