I'm kinda angry at Medic but at the same time it's good that he lying, none of them would have gone to save the others if they knew that they were all doomed anyway. They would all loose hope, that's probably why Engie lied too, exept that he actually cares about his teammates. :')
Also Medic keeping an eye on Scout in the background and Archimedes flying back to Medic, nice details !

Honestly, if I were Medic, I would do the same thing.
The last thing that you need is a mass panic.
Also, you should not kill the only thing that a person has in such situation (I'm talking about hope).
