Zabuni looked at this mate, more worried that ever. He first thought she was somehow sulking for whatever reason. But she was crying. Never had he saw her in such a state...

"Upeo, what happened?"
"The worst thing that could ever happened," she sobbed.
"What do you-..."

The young dark lion spotted a small form between Upeo's paws. A small furball with a coat that looked so much like his own.
That thing both of them didn't want to hear about for a good while just appeared in their lives without being invited in it.

I wanted to draw Nyuki's parents and a cubby Nyuki so hey!
Nyuki was an unwanted child, since her mother suffered some king of pregnancy denial, thus her belly didn't show up and she didn't notice she was pregnant.
