Description I am ridiculously proud of that hat, you see. cx

And yes, the title is intentionally spelled wrong. ;3

I can't begin to tell how amazing it is to have a cosplay which does not demand that you look good all the time. When cosplaying Rincewind, it's all about looking like you just had the most ecxiting adventure ever, and hated every moment of it.

Plan of improvement: Make all the clothes look more ragged and dirty, figure out what to do with my far too silky hair, and acquire some facial hair. Fortunately, I've already got the scrawny build and capasity for exaggerated expressions this character requires. (Not that it shows in this pic. x3 )

Hello! I love the whole costume. The medallion is a nice touch. While the eight sections can be symbolic of 8 as a magical number, I think it really just symbolizes how much Wizards like pie. Kudos!Β

The medallion is actually one of the few things about his outfit that is described in the first book (other than the hat and the fact that his robe is red), that's why I included it. The octagon signals that he is an actual wizard officially graduated from the university, contrary to what his magic skills would testify. x)Β 
But yeah I too believe most wizards would indeed probably think of it as pie. cx

Awesome

Silky hair can be fixed by not washing it with soap for several days (or if you are *really dedicated* not washing your hair at all). Also olive oil helps make it look more oily, while being really good for your hair, though the smell leaves a bit to be desired, however on the other hand smelling odd would fit running fast away from trouble with no consideration for what you are running to.. or into...

Hadn't washed my hair for a coupke of days when that picture was taken, actually, but I still think it looks too good. cx
I did think of rubbing some vaseline or something into it to make it look more greasy, olive oil sounds like a good alternative. And having some soot in it, I'll probably do that, too, like I did with my face and clothes.
Smell is no problem whatsoever, no. xD Would only help with the authentic qualities of my wizardly self, I'd say.
Combine that with a beard, though, and my boyfriend would probably be slightly reluctant to kiss me. Oh, well, who ever said being Rincewind was easy~

hehe it didn't show that it had not been washed for a few days.

Vaseline would be evil to get out and not use nasty stuff to get out out with - oil is somewhat easier Tes soot will help and stick nicely to the oil too

All things considered I think Rincewind would have run away from kissing anyone so you'd be fully in your role if that came up as not wanted (even though you'd be the one wanting to kiss )
