Back tracked and changed Ripley's suit after the previous painting I did of her in more casual wear. Design wise I'm more of a less is more kinda guy, so the first order of business was to simplify the suit. I was imagining given certain weather conditions Ripley would just wear her boots and coat/poncho over her super suit. Felt that by doing so would help ground her a little more and would help create interesting shape language when she isn't stretching. I wanted to pay more homage to Rogue of the X-men so I went with a green. I know there are a lot of green elastic people on here...yall got good taste. Anyways I just wanted to establish a loose working template for my character before moving forward on my other projects.
