Hooooly shit, these took forever. I had a mighty craving to do a magical boy character team that WASN'T built on a joke about boys acting feminine. Sooo, let's get right to it.
FIRST, these boys were given powers by a mysterious figure in strange dreams that they have all shared at one point or another. She hasn't given herself a name, but the boys have agreed to refer to her as "Lady Luck", because of the nature of the powers she has entrusted them with. Basically, after taking their oath to keep destruction and senseless violence at bay, they each were given a "lucky charm" that allows them to use their magic transformation modes. These charms, combined with each boy's talents or hobbies, are what decide on the specifics of their costumes and powers. Here we go:

-Yuuto Suzuki (Red). He's the "main character". Based his general demeanor on the likes of Madoka Kaname. Around 15 years old, indecisive, filled with a burning desire to protect and be "useful" in some way. He's in the high school archery program, so his weapon is a bow. He doesn't need to carry arrows with him- he just has to pull the string back and one will appear, already nocked and ready to fire. His lucky charm is a ladybug, and basically just having him around will increase his teammates' "luck", and make their own efforts to fight much more successful. Also occasionally he can just comment "Man, I wish there was a way to get into this room without making a scene", and something ridiculously lucky will happen and do just that. When he transforms, the underside of his hair is tinted pink, but in his civilian form, it's all just dark brown/black.

- Percy Hayes (Green). Unsurprisingly, Percy's lucky charm is a four-leafed clover. He took up croquet as a joke bc of a british aunt of his, but eventually he got good at it, so it's not really ironic anymore, which is just a bit annoying tbh. Percy's smol. Same age as Yuuto, since they've been friends since they were babies. Percy's a tiny trans ball of will-fuck-you-up, and his lucky charm allows him one "get-out-of-jail-free" card per fight. So, if he were pinned down/stuck in a tough spot, he could teleport out of the situation. Only a few feet away, though. Gotta be careful how he uses it. Also, his mallet weapon is actually much heavier than anything that size should be. It's compatible with his charm, so it's no problem for him, but it can wreak serious havoc on everyone else.

- Chance Leblanc (Blue). Oh, Chance. Student council president. Figure skater. Ball of never ending stress and uptight-ness. He's about 17, and he's never learned to have fun. (But will deny it so adamantly that he dyes his hair electric blue to "prove" how spontaneous he can be). His weapon/lucky charm is an umbrella, which has a 50/50 chance (ha) of providing a good or bad dose of luck, depending on where he opens/how he's using it. He can also use it to float/glide like mary poppins, and the skates on his feet mean that he's graceful in combat and also beware the fact that he has knives on his feet. I imagine a very kick-based fighting style for him, with small blasts of magic from the umbrella bc a taz-loving bitch cannot pass up the opportunity to give her character an umbra staff.

- River Harper Reed (Purple). Smug rich asshole who's actually pretty sweet, deep down. He plays lacrosse, so his "weapon" is a lacrosse stick, and his lucky charm is a dream catcher, which allows him some insight into other peoples' hopes and dreams. The lacrosse stick itself can "capture" other peoples' psyches, leaving them stunned or dazed for a little bit, but it can also stop projectiles and allow River to send them back. His cloak also lets him glide short distances, or spread to use as a parachute. River's 17, a bit snobby and spoiled, but he's got a good heart under it all. Even IF he's a nosy little shit who almost got himself killed while he was investigating his classmates and their new habit of disappearing every time something even a little bit odd is going on.

- Nathaniel Bennett (Yellow). Wow, what a flirt. Nat's 19, he's a varsity swimmer, who is working to put himself through college. Punkish. Mom-friend. Literal playboy bunny. His lucky charm is a rabbit's foot, which grants him greater speed and mobility, and his weapon is a boomerang, specifically because I had a cool image in my head of him leaping to catch it. Nathaniel is a notorious fun-lover, like Percy, but he knows when and how to reign it in. He carries snacks around just in case anyone needs anything. Doesn't stop him from being a sarcastic asshole, but hey.
