Bear and Unna are one of my favourite The Underdogs' Land couples so I decided to show you how they metIt was a beautiful morining of the early autumn. Unna, a young, skinny, not very tall wolf was walking through the meadow looking for some herbs. She took a deep breath enjoying the cool, fresh air. She could smell the grass, eath and all kinds of trees who were losing their leaves, preparing for the coming winter. She sniffed the ground and began to dig in it. Then she grabbed a root with her mouth. She smiled to herself. It exactly was the root she was looking for. She turned to the left deciding to walk a little bit more and then she suddenly noticed something.
It was something huge, brown and it was laying on the side. First she dropped the root and quickly jumped back thinking it was a bear. But then when she carefully looked closer, she noticed that it wasn't a bear but a wolf. An unnaturally big, brown wolf. She took a few steps forwards. The brown wolf seemed to be asleep. She saw two cuts on his cheek and that his both ears were ripped off.
She came even closer to him and started sniffing him. The brown wolf suddenly opened his eyes and looked directly at her. His eye sight was blurry. His head was still aching. He blinked a few times and saw the she wolf above him. She looked as surprised as he did.
- Are you okay? Your injuries look pretty bad... - she asked smiling warmly
For a few second he just stared at her blinking slowly. When his eye sight got better, he finally answered the question.
- Yeah, I guess I'll be just alright.
His voice was rough, cold and deep. He didn't sound very friendly.
- I wouldn't say that. You look pretty bad, what happened to you? I can help. I know a few things about healing. - she said looking at him worried
He akwardly stood up. In that momeny Unna realised how huge the size difference between them was. She felt shivers down her spine. He looked very dangerous. She was skinny and small even though she was probably around his age. The brown wolf really looked like a bear. She had never seen a wolf this big before.
The stranger noticed fear on her face when he stood up. She was literally looking up to him now. He sat down to make himself look friendlier.
- What's your name? - He asked looked into her eyes
- Uhm.. Unna. - She answered smiling akwardly - What's yours?
- They call me Bear. - he said
- Bear? I thought you were a bear when I saw you. - she said chucking nervously
He licked the blood from his nose and smiled.
- I'm not surprised to be honest.
He noticed how pretty the she wolf is. There was something else besides that. She was very nervous but nice and warm. He could feel she's a good wolf. She tried to be friendly towards him even though he could clearly see that she's afraid of him which didn't surprise him. He was aware of his size and look. He looked dangerous and he was used to other wolves running away at his sight.
- You said you know a few things about healing? - he asked risinh his eyebrow
- Oh! Yeah! I do, know a few things about that. I can help you! - she replied quickly
- Well... You can help me if you want to.
She smiled warmly once again and said:
- Come on then. Follow me.
Bear stood up and followed her. She felt a bit safer now. She could see that he was trying to be very gentle around her. She kinda felt like a walking mountain was following her instead of a wolf.
