Long time no upload! Things have been going slow during the summer...So, here's a new pic I made for the Esketxers blog. This time, the subject was "rebirth". Some may have thought of Jesus when hearing that. I, of course, thought of Robocop.

...and yeah, they're rebooting it same as they're trying to reboot every 80s movie out there. But no sweat, past experience assures us that it will most likely flop and be forgotten in less than a year. Look at Conan or The Thing...

I only recently found out that there's a Total Recall reboot out there!
So much for me caring about modern film production, I guess I learned from my mistakes.
..and I have to raise a child in this "culture" we see around us, the world being a bit shittier every day.

I'm becoming more and more detached from the movie world myself, there's simply nothing interesting to me anymore... I've seen / read / played it all before.
And yeah, I believe you... The thought of bringing a child into this world unsettles me. I never thought I'd see things the way Morgan Freeman does in Se7en, knowhumsayin'? Well, not that there's much of a chance I'd ever have children anyway... I'm not much of a ladies man.

Pretty much, yes.
So I'm starting to look back, more and more.
I think the opposite.....that I'm raising a soldier who'll fight on the side of light, and not fail where his old man has.
..so I've been giving my best to make him understand the values which I think are disappearing from the world. We watch old cartoons and I read him comics and picture books. I draw, he colours.
3yrs and 3 months....and I give him my simpler TFs and M.A.S.K. vehicles to play with, without the least concern that he'd break something

Hah! That's another way of viewing things, yeah... And it's an awesome thing to do, I'd definitely educate him about the good things in life (comics, cinema, Transformers, WWF).
And hey, you haven't failed yet. As long as you're alive, the fight goes on. Maybe you were meant to be Sith master to the apprentice who will eventually become Emperor. I'll stop reading Star Wars novels now...

Yesterday, I moved the little guy's bed to pick up all the thingies that fell behind/on the side of it, and among the stuff, there was a magnet with Animated BulkheadΒ pictured in alt-mode. From a second-hand picture book w/magnets, dating from the time before I even showed him the toys..
..and he went "WOOW!!" grabbed it and ran to the living room yelling "LOOK MUMMY, LOOK! IT'S THE FAT GREEN BUS-VAN-TRUCK-ROBOT WITH SIRENS! ME AND DAD HAVE HIM, YES!"
A little tear in me eye ensued.
