The Death Watch commander, Kherr Dawar, chose seek her own glory away from Pre Vizsla with group of her own forces and members of her clan. She chose join Darth Maul after having been promised power and helping her become new leader of Death Watch.

However this would cause Mandalore the Freedom set his attention to this matter right away and would join Obi Wan Kenobi's mission in seeking the Sith lord, bringing squad of Mandalorians.
