About this piece: Well deary, what is this here naow? Oh, it's only a rendition of my most favourite movie of all time in the entire universe in my lifetime and generations beyond. :3 giggle.
But really. I am legit in love with Tron. I saw it two nights ago in 3D and I'm still obsessing over it, especially Garrett Hedlund XD Oh, that boy.... And I thought there was no other way to express my love for it than to spend a few hours devoting all my time to this photomanip, leaving my busybusybusy schedule behind.
Also... I bet I'm the first one here on dA to attempt this. WINNAAR!

I'm still a bit new to photomanips (you can check the one picture in my gallery, if you'd like), but I have to use Gimp because the file for PS is way to big ont his old stuffy thing... And I was wondering How I could make the fur all flowing, like how you and others do with the manes and tails on horses? I don't have a tablet but I did download some mane/tail brushes... it's just hard to figure it all out so I've be using a smudge tool ;-;
And, how would I outline the body in that glowy kind of white?... And I also want to get into maniping owls, even though there's not much to do with them.. except smudging them up a little of course. It's just so hard to find background pictures for them unu

I have a mane and tail tutorial here:
but EEEHH don't use the smudge tool! I just paint out everything, even if it's tedious. I also just use the regular round brush to do it, but I change the size of it every time. I think the biggest thing is just to spend a lot of time on the hair- it usually takes up to 30 minutes to do just the mane every time! And for the outline, I do the same. I set the brush to 1 px and just very carefully trace the outline with the image zoomed all the way in. Good luck!

I use motion blur after rasterizing a copy of the original text layer

I can fully imagine horses like that running around the outlands and even on the grid itself...so very pretty. Excellent job.

Yah!I guessed right! XD I wanna see it sooo bad! But I'm broke. When I can, I'll be bolting to the theaters. I heard it was really good, and people had mixed feelings about the ending. Mind giving me your thoughts? I don't want to see it in theaters if its not worth the money. lol

Hehe alright~ I thought the graphics were excellent, but the storyline was not really well developed. If your rates for theaters are expensive, and if you're looking for an intricate and fully organized plotline, then you should just wait until some other time for you to see it. The ending was a little.. abrupt. and sad. But I'll spare you the details so that if you DID want to see it, it wouldnt be ruined for yah

Okay. Thanks. That helps a lot. I know what to expect, and considering the graphics looked good enough, I went. I actully saw it in Imax 3D today. The plot line was kinda... bad. lol. If they made the action scenes longer and more intense, like the motorcycle one, it could have been a lot better, because in my view, it looks like the knew the storyine was weak. Therefore, the Graphics and action would have to counteract the plot. Anyways, enough of my movie critique, and thanks again! Lovely manip! [Really does remind me of Tron now XD]
