i can't tell you that much about this photo i'm sad to say. all we know about it, is that it is taken from a stage production possibly from Ls Folies Bergere in Paris around the early 1900's
there is little to no retouching on our part.
we think the way it looks is down to the dress. it gives her body so an unusual shape. this is because of the low neckline, and tight waist band which shows off her pose.

The body shape is because of the corseting.
Obviously, it was also taken by Jean Reutlinger. I would guess she is an actress, but if she was in the Folies Bergere it would probably say that on the card. Lots of other shows though.
