Wow! I can't believe I haven't posted this on dA yet, lol.

Anyway, here is a painting that I have been promising someone I would make for them for a loooong time now, so I'm hoping that it was worth the wait, lol.

Now, I still want to somehow get a nice background to go with this one, but I can't seem to get anything that looks right, ANY SUGGESTIONS/HELP?

So, I really can't wait until the "Black Pearl" opens up on Howrse.com because I have a small handful of coats ready to go

Now, there is a little bit of a story behind this lovely doll

"Gift of the Black Orchid"

Now, for those of you that play Howrse, you already know what the "Black Orchid" is in that game, so you guys can skip the next paragraph, lol.

But, for those of you that don't, it is basically part of the collection of "special items" you can buy in the game that give nice things to your horses you raise in the game. Some items give skill bonuses, some make the horse immortal, one can turn a horse into a pegasus, but the Black Orchid will restore a horse's "energry, health, and morale" completely to 100%, so it could save a horse's life if it got deathly sick or over-worked.

So, She is supposed to represent how she is made up of all kinds of colorful orchids, all of which are common.

But, that it takes a special task to deserve a Gift of a Black Orchid

Ok, so it's not much of a story, but it makes for a lovely character
