Picture I started last year for zombielily This was a birthday present that turned into a Christmas present and now it's a...valentines day present? I'm sorry I've been such a flake this year my precious, You know how it is.This is her character her Character Amy Vicary here rocking a ladybug inspired stage costume. I really love this character! I felt the push to finish this since it's black history month. so outside of my art trades & to-do list I'll probably be drawing beautiful black and brown babes that catch my eye.

OH, BABES. I know how much we think of one another! ITS FINE! We both live super busy lives, so like, any spare time to draw, think or make a huge package for one another- I HIGHLY appreciate it, and I know you do too! It's nice to be in someones thoughts
Anyways, I LOVE WHEN YOU DRAW AMY! She's one of my favourite characters to draw, and I love when others draw her and love her as well!! I'M IN LOVE WITH THE LADYBUG OUTFIT AHHHH. I'm pretty sure you already know how much I like ladybugs/semi-collect them since you saw my room as a teenager lmao. I love that you went with multiple shades of red, the black lace/frills and spaced out dots, rather than super concentrated. I love the lil frilly bits around the 'sleeves' area, and how the patterned bg doesn't contrast at all with her in the front <3 That's one of my favourite things about Amy, is that you can pretty much put her in anything! Seeing what people think up for her is always amazing, and I really love her in red!

This is an interesting technique! Β I like the contrast of the flat figure against the curve of the backdrop. Β It's a novel way of generating visual interest.
