Description For color theory, we were supposed to do 4 paintings using 2 hues plus black/white.

The last time I painted a picture was in grade school with my fingers, so this was a weird experience. I cringed at the thought of having to use paint cause I always thought that I'd make a huge wet mess, but now that I've tried it, I'm not hating it. I'll definitely keep toying with it

I'd love any feedback as to how I can improve!

I was practicing blending with this one. It didn't turn out exactly the way I like, but oh well.

This is the sort of thing I tried to paint in watercolors, too! I tried to paint moon jellies. I blame Ponyo!

You managed to keep control of your paints. When I paint, it is a huge wet mess. The paper warps, and I take way too long mixing my colors. If I had a month to paint one picture, I coud probably do it.

That's exactly how I felt about painting in the start too!! But soon enough, I was hooked

I love the colors in this one! And I LOVE sea motifs in general, it's a beautiful picture The darkness in the lower end makes such a great contrast for the upper, lighter part!

Some suggestions for techniques:
-I usually work my backgrounds and bigger areas (like skin) with the wet-on-wet technique. It works as such: You moisten the part with just water, you know this, right? And later you start dabbing paint on with the same brush and you let the paint do the work for you! It makes for some interesting and great effects! Also a nice contrast against the more detailed areas
-The paper looks pretty dry, so it would make for a more watery feel if you'd have it wet when painting water!! The second color was green, right? It would be awesome if you would mix that into the background as well I bet you've noticed that sea water has a slight green hint to it!

That's about it! The jellyfish look so wonderful Very nice job!!
