oh thanks honey,I'm so new to this..I just use compressed soft charcoal..its in little sticks hahah shows how much I know..And I use Canson brand paper for charcoal(18X24) ..it seems to be working for me hahah You are amazing my friend..I will take all the advice and help I can get..Thanks so much.

hahah I have an easel so I draw them upright..but I use my fingers for all of it so I'm pretty messy when I'm done hahah its so fun though, I love charcoal...You are brilliant and I'm going to learn so much from you..

using your fingers is fun ( sounds dodgy ha ) but the salt that comes out in our sweat pores can damage the drawing and make smudges that can rub out . do you get finger prints all over the place ? my light swithes and doors and kettle look like something from a crime scene investigation when i have finished drawing ha

I'm pretty good at keeping the oils off them.I have a towel that I constantly use..and yes I learned the hard way..big print in the middle of a forehead teaches you a lesson quick hahahahah

I have a commission I need to start but I hate the picture so I'm trying to figure out a better way to do it..two faces on a page..i don't like that.i want one face to take up the page..and I dont care for the paper sideways..she might get a two for one deal so I like them hahah

hah yes as you can tell i like the faces edge to edge the best..this is a couple getting married and I just dont like the lay out..she is one of my high school friends for 35 yrs and yikes..thats a tough one, I want it perfect..haha

Take a black and white photo and sprinkle some graphite and charcoal on it and cheat ..say its a drawing haha
