for the tails if i got a belt and put those fury keychain tails ppl always put on their pants/purses, do you think it would work? or do you think itd be too heavy? i dont really want my tails to be all over the place because itll make it hard to walk through crowds at AX >w<

I dont have a yt tutorial on this. well i didnt stick the wires to the belt. the belt was sewn on the base of my tails. the base didnt have wires isnide em. the wires are only there to give the tails shape. and so that they wont flop, fall or lose their shape for the entire duration of the event.

omg wow! I'm actually working on my ahri cosplay right now, as on august 17th is a convention in Melbourne o; I can't figure out the full detail of the patterns on her armwarmers. Do you have advice or pictures? oh and how did you support your tails so well? I've been experimenting with some wires that cling onto a belt on the bottom skirt bit but if you had advice it's be good. And i'm not sure if i should put stuffing in the tails to make them look rounder or would it be too difficult =/ Hope to hear from you soon, from a noob cosplayer XD Thankyou.
And last thing - Great great cosplay nice details!

for the arm warmers, here. [link]
stuff them tails of yours with pillow stuffings. yeah, the one they put inside pillows to make em fluffy. and also put some kind of steel into it to make the shape of the tails and so that it wont flop when you where them to cons and such events.

theirs a belt inside my costume. my costume has two parts, the top and the skirt. the top has a corset like back u see. that's where the belt goes in and my tails are filled with them pillow stuffings so their super soft when u touch em
also when u sew the tails. u have to sew it like the way u want it to look like. if you want them to look round, then u have to sew them round-ish. then you put wires(i dont know what the wires in my tails are called but it's the one construction workers use to build houses and buildings), then next is the stuffings )

oh wow thanks for the advice! I didn't even check >< Yes, i'm using a belt to attach the tails to myself heh and i bought a lot of stuffing. Getting the shape is sort of hard but it's getting there =] Thanks for the idea, i thought of it too but this is even better so i know it has more chance of standing up and not flopping down :s
This has helped heaps, and i have another question: what did you use and how did you make your ears? :3

CandyShuffleMix In reply to rinni64 [2012-08-21 02:12:49 +0000 UTC]

the ears were made in a rush XD well i used rubber sheet to make the ears. i just cut the ear pattern out, painted them black and red. then i hot glued it on a black headband

the tails got metal wires inside(i dont know what them "metal wires" are called both in english and in our language /slap'd). the ones u use for making houses i think. so yeah. pretty sturdy stuff. my tails didnt go flop during the whole time i was wearing them.
