Personality
Ethiopia has strong maternal instincts, always on the lookout for cubs that aren't even hers. She considers anyone younger than her as a cub, even if they are bigger and stronger than her. Though everyone loves a caring momma, her instincts can lead outsiders to infiltrate her camp and she would believe it was someone else. As caring as she is, Ethiopia can be pretty strict, but in a loving manner. She's just looking out for her family, though it may not seem like it sometimes. Like any mother, Ethiopia is wary towards strangers and can hold a grudge. Once you cross this lady, you can never cross her again. She remembers what you did and will make sure you remember it as well.
History
Ethiopia was born and raised in the African Savannah. Being a small feline made everything much more dangerous. Crossing a river? You're a lovely snack for a alligator or hippo. Running away from a leopard? Forget it, they can climb. Ethiopia had her own fair share of run-ins and close calls, even getting her own souvenirs. But they all healed in time, her ear is probably the only wound that never fully healed. That lovely mark was given to her by a pissed off honey badger that bit off a portion of the caracal's ear, thinking the burrow she was examining was abandoned. But it was all worth it once she found a roomy little cave to give birth to her litter.
In the African wilderness, you can't afford to have mates. A bigger family typically means a bigger target for yourself. But Ethiopia was lucky enough to have one to stick around as she produced 4 little furballs. Having Aton by her side to take care of the cubs was blessing. It made hunting and watching over the cubs that much easier. But their outings was tracked by some sort of strange, furless creature walking on two legs. As Ethiopia went out to hunt, the creatures ambushed the nest. Ethiopia, not knowing what had happened, came back to a den with her mate, Anton, limp besides one of their cubs. The other three were missing, but it was safe to assume they were dead too. In her grief, the caracal tracked down the scent of those that raided the den and came across a sort of settlement, but instead of the dark creatures, a few were paler than the earth Ethiopia walked on. It was then Ethiopia got a new, more permanent scar, from a spear shot at her as she pursued the camp. At the end she lost, and was then taken away by the pale creatures.
The caracal was sold to be a gladiator in the coliseum of Massilia. But she never fought. They tried to breed her, though she would end up nearly ending the males life. The caracal was going to be put down, not having any value to her. There was a young female "human", as they called themselves, came to Ethiopia's rescue. The woman set the caracal free in the wild, to live another day. Ethiopia was confused, but understood the intent of the action. Without another thought, she ran far from the city. She traveled for days before Ethiopia came across a small group of felines, big and small. They called themselves Ashfall, a rogue group. They were determined to bring the former glory if their "empire" back, and asked the caracal if she wanted to join. This was a new envirinment, she witnessed creatures and plants she never came across before. She reluctantly joined their ranks, not knowing how long she would survive on her lonesome.
