Description Sleet posing on the side of Mam Tor with some of the view behind her. No, I don't get Sleet to pose, I lift the camera up and she does this on her own. It was quite windy up there but also some black clouds looming just over the top of us so the light was a little low for a time.

Taken towards the end of August.

This is Sleet She can be quite a challenging dog who needs a knowledgable owner though.

She looks so regal and the landscape seems almost like a fairy tale - and she's the queen of it! There aren't many areas in the US like that - what a beautiful area!

The Moorland here in the UK is quite unique...not really found anywhere else...I just wish there was more of it compared to crappy built up areas.

Gosh, yes, I wish there were more "unspoiled" areas here in the U.S. too! Sadly, I often learn that areas seemingly "unspoiled" here were clear cut at some time and replanted...good that they were replanted, but sad that all those gorgeous old trees and truly native plants had to die...and for what?! Pencils...paper...Crazy world.

Here, they just want to cover all our green spaces with more houses due to uncontrolled immigration and the rising population due to this uncontrolled immigration. We have a local campaign going on where I live to save a stretch of greenbelt land that the council want to build several thousand houses on...and they won't even be for us people in the area. We don't have any vast wildernesses left that you still have over there because we are such a small island in comparison.

But, believe it or not, the moorlands in the UK were actually man-made habitats...they used to be forests that were cleared centuries ago by man...probably before. The pennines are part of the Caledonian Orogeny which is one of the earliest known and would have been like your rocky mountains back in time...but have eroded down to what they are now over millions of years.

How come? I know BCs aren't for everyone...Many people couldn't cope with sleets neurotic and highly strung moments and she'd be like that a lot more in the hands of the wrong person.

My border collie was for me, i loved him so much.. but he would go nasty with other dogs and my mother said i couldn't keep him
if i wasn't living with my parents i still would have had him, i miss how energetic and busy he kept me, i was also in the middle of teaching him weave with agilty poles and he can jump so high, he loved playing flyball.

Ah, my last two, especially Jess, disliked other dogs but only if the dogs came up to them as they'd been attacked themselves previously.
Our Jess would attack them good and proper but she didn't go up to other dogs to cause trouble...they both preferred to be left alone.

Ah bless them! ben was
attacked the other day by this little
dog who jumped over his gate and bit him
when i was walking him! but he lunges
for the dogs so i tried my best but
he was only gonna get stronger when
he grows up he could have even gone worser.
he's fine with my own dog Molly but any other
dog you'd try and socialise him with he would
try and get at them and bite them.
